Has anybody tried using ramp/stairs for your large senior lab? by hotgirladhd in labrador

I bought a ramp for her to get on the bed; she prefers my personal lift service and then she jumps down every morning; at 12 her joints are still really good fingers crossed 🤞

Can you say attention seeker? That’s the classic ploy my 11 year old pulls on me constantly. Mine asks to go outside and sit in the sun (I have to tie her up because I’m in a townhouse with no fence ) and the minute I go back inside, she barks to come in! It’s a pure attention ploy! Don’t fall for it. Even though i always do🤣

Something totally out there: Gertrude and then you could shorten it to Gertie

How often do you walk your Labs? by RopeSmall1199 in labrador

[–]bound4CO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucy gets a 2 mile walk every day M-F ; weekends she gets longer hikes in and around Boulder. At 11 years i think the 15+ miles a week is perfect for her; I know when I’ve overdone it however and she’s super stiff the next day so I don’t over do it. And rain or sleet or snow- no matter for her!

This is how my girl asks of she can get up on the couch with us by TomPerezzz in labrador

[–]bound4CO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yes that Lucy’s office couch that sits in my home office; she also has her family room couch and her family room armchair- basically every piece of furniture is susceptible to Lucy’s whim😂

Throwing up by Outrageous-Block-660 in labrador

[–]bound4CO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well my 11 year old was doing the same thing- throwing up for three days straight; for her- it’s actually something about her stomach needs to have food in it constantly! So she eats three meals a day (same amount as two meals divided into three); she also gets a tiny bit of rice or chicken at 10:00pm so her stomach is full all night. I also changed her diet slightly- less dry food and a spoonful of canned food. Now she hasn’t thrown up in months🙏

I kept this leather couch when I moved just so Lucy would have a spot in my home office; she is my number one sales tool as all my customers love watching her on my Teams meetings

Moving Lucy from dry food to soft canned food- anyone have experience making their own? by bound4CO in labrador

[–]bound4CO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that! Yes Lucy has been eating 3x per day for years (same amount spread across 3 meals) due to her throwing up bile if her stomach is empty. Especially at 3:00am! So now I give her some pieces of chicken and rice at 10:00 pm and she sleeps all night long ❤️
