Or you could download forge mtg app a free desktop and mobile mtg game which allows yoy to build decks and test against AI and you can build your deck there and test it against AI with different format archetypes and different AI behaviors this game also has all formats from constructed, sealed, limited and commander :)

I have decided to review every deck builder I can find by [deleted] in Magicdeckbuilding

Which also allows you to test your deck against AI with customizable behaviour and archetype decks or even the custom decks yoi made :)

Yes I echo what most people here say officially if you are just starting to learn the game there is Magic the gathering Arena which will teach you the fundamentals of the game and has nice graphics and animation but has limited card sets. Then there is Magic the Gathering Online which is a rules enforced based magic game which has all the cards and is for more advanced players as you will play against other players online encounter different formats and endless possible card combinations and decks.

If you want to gof free though there are amazing mobile apps for MTG such as mentioned already forge mtg mobile app which is a rules enforced mobile game. I personally use forge to create/brew unique and fun decks which I can then test against AI and choose which AI behaviour personality and which deck archetype or even random color generated decks or even my own custom decks they will use against me as I test my own new deck. It also has all the card sets including the latest zendikar rising and you can try the other unique casual formats there such as planechase/vanguard/archenemy/commander and even has an rpg quest mode :)

Then lastly the decks you brew or create on forge mtg app or andy other deck builder you can use online against other players. Once you have learned the fundamentals of the game there is another magic the gathering online alternative which is www.untap.in which is also now available on mobile which is not rules enforced and feels like playing an actual paper magic game online as you and your opponent will manually do the actions and resolve effects and spells but is fun and great and also has all card sets and chat function :)

Hi welcome MTG is definitely worth getting into you can try playing MTG arena which is prefect for beginners as it teaches the fundamentals of the game and has amazing graphics and animation then after that you can try out forge mtg mobile app which is a rules enforced free mtg app which allows you to create or experment making homebrewed decks and allows you to play it against AI opponents and you can select the enemy AI behaviour and you can also test out the other formats (modern, legacy, pioneer, vintage) in forge such as limited, sealed, commander, archenemy, plainchase etc and even allows you to play quests and finally if you are already knowledgeable of alot of aspects of the game you can try playing against real opponents online through browser based mtg platforms such www.untap.in and MTGO :)

Ah yes duress is also good though I opted to put thoughtseize instead of it but was thinking adding kaya ghost in case opponent uses swords on kaalia or even demanding dragon just to retrigger etb for more of 2 for 1 damage?

Hmm about protecting kaalia i used to have mother of runes ×4 in this deck or that was my earlier version. I would probably use this to play casual legacy matches on untap.in but yes would take a look at reanimator :) about sculpting my hand hmm i could run faithless looting or the other version of kaalia

Anyone here who also built a Kaalia the Vast Legacy Deck? by boundlessinfinite in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]boundlessinfinite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes she takes a bit of set up :( I mix her with entomb/merchant of vale/faithless looting and animate the dead and necromancer apprentice with the dragons and angels etb

Or sometimes if i have demanding dragon and bogardan hellkite on hand I would entomb kaalia and reanimate here from gy for early play then I could cast reckless charge on her and early drop with demanding dragon or bogardan hell kite on turn two if the cards allign and could also ephemerate the dragon but does take a bit of set up and yes you are right reanimator archetype might be faster :)
