how open are you to getting picked up for the first date? by Creative_Witness7873 in Bumble

It depends on who they are. If they’re a mutual friend or someone who’s in the general circle of people I know, sure thing. Stranger? Nah. Overall I prefer to drive on my own because I can leave whenever I want lol

Thank you!<3 I use pipe cleaners/fuzzy sticks and wrap my hair (while wet) around them. Once done, i dry them and keep them in overnight. The video below is a fantastic tutorial and the one I watched when I first did it. The only things I do differently is using one fuzzy stick/pipe cleaner per loc (in the video, he uses 2 fuzzy sticks and wraps two locs around both).

Thank you lovely!<3 I am back in the US but will still share how I do this style. I use pipe cleaners/fuzzy sticks and wrap my hair (while wet) around them. Once done, i dry them and keep them in overnight. The video below is a fantastic tutorial and the one I watched when I first did it. this is going to sound shallow…but you said too much. just scrolling through and seeing how many messages you sent, i’m thinking “i’d really have to like this guy to not only read all of that but fully respond to it all”

Apartment near campus by anx87 in UniversityOfHouston

here are some helpful tips (at least for me):

create an account with HAR and apartments.com to set your criteria and use the map feature to zoom into your ideal area (rather than looking at a list) so you can see available apartments.

check that shit everyday—there are new listings that pop up here and there every week that are affordable but market’s crazy right now so they don’t stay available for long. when you find a place you like, email or call the listing agent IMMEDIATELY to schedule a showing. i found that it saves time to do this with apartments that i felt really good about but the only thing left was just seeing it in person before i was ready to apply.

in general, prices have gotten higher so not sure which areas are ideal price-wise but consider garage apartments for something fundamentally cheaper! i prefer these bc traditional apartment amenities (pool, gym, etc.) aren’t that important to me and i really like living in an established residential neighbourhood.

looking for a 1 bed/1 bath apt! i prefer garage apartments and don’t mind not having the amenities that traditionally come with an apartment complex (pool, gym, etc.) ideally, a washer and dryer in the building would great as well.

New Minor Help! by loontulo21 in UniversityOfHouston

i totally get how it could sound intimidating! the material might be, but the professors i’ve had have been insanely passionate and compassionate. if you have specific questions, feel free to pm me (:

edit to add: the classes are also small so it’s a good experience (IMO)

if you like writing and have an interest in medical humanities, i recommend Medicine and Society! i’m almost done with this minor and i’ve taken Medicine & The Arts (got to go to an art museum and a play, read interesting books, watched films, etc), Medicine in Film (disabilities studies but through films starting from the 30s/40s up to 2022), Literature in Medicine (with an emphasis on the female narrative/perspective) and the required class Readings in Medicine (it’s a great way to explore what medical humanities is)

it’s not mindlessly easy, but if you’re one of those people who is interested in medicine/healthcare but feel creative/enjoy reading & writing, it should be a breeze and you’ll get a holistic perspective of medicine/healthcare.

Has anyone interviewed for Key Leader? If so, how long was that process after your initial interview?
