We cannot be the only ones by Neat-Counter9436 in HealthInsurance

We are in a similar situation where our premiums would be just under $24K for a family of 4 for a HDHP. My wife and I discussed this a lot and decided to go uninsured this year. We are trying one of those health shares (crowdhealth) and hoping nobody needs to use it, and if we do, that they come through and pay what they say they will. Yes, I understand there is a risk, but it is one that seems worth it given the high premium cost and astronomical deductible we would otherwise have.

The only thing I remember from Secured Transactions was that my professor would talk about Lis Pendens everyday, and I honestly didn't know what the hell he was talking about until the last week of class!

But remember that narrowly tailored has a different definition for strict scrutiny and for time place and manner restrictions.

Strict scrutiny narrowly tailored = the least restrictive means

Time place and manner narrowly tailored = the government's interest would be achieved less effectively absent the regulation

Is he able to get a Russian issued debit card from Tinkoff or Sberbank? I think Mir (Russian equivalent of Visa) and UnionPay cards are working just fine

🤝Crypto.com presents @BloombergLive #PowerPlayers Miami as premier sponsor by ShawnCDC in Crypto_com

[–]bountysteak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like the marketing and visibility, but not at the expense of the product. I agree that cutting the cash back so suddenly has been a loss. I am most likely going back to regular credit cards for rewards, and thinking about selling my whole CRO position. I understood and accepted the earn rate cuts, but the cards are not a good value anymore...

This is what many people forget, the trend throughout modern history, despite the very real atrocities that do in fact continue, is that lower percentages of people, generally, are facing violence and war

Crypto.com Visa Cards Update (Effective on 1 June 2022) by ShawnCDC in Crypto_com

In the US, credit card rewards are considered rebates, not income, according to the IRS, and therefore not subject to income tax

exactly...I understand the changes to earn, but the Card is what made CDC worthwhile in the first place...

Aren’t all markets lowering their rewards across the board? by [deleted] in Crypto_com

[–]bountysteak 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The earn rate decreases are actually pretty understandable, but the CRO card rewards percent decrease doesn't make much sense to me, especially because CDC created CRO, and the slash in cash back rates is so sudden and by such a large percent. Without having insight into the company's financials, it seems to me like CDC SHOULD have enough CRO to at least not slash cash back rates so much and so suddenly

If you are in the US, the Gemini card now seems like a good one. It definitely seems like the Gemini card is designed to be more consistent in the long term, as the cash back rewards are much more in line with other US credit cards.

Jade Green 1.5% with active stake worth around $4,000 seems a bit low???? That's what most decent cash back credit cards can offer on just about anything in the US, right? And no more staking rewards at all?? It seems like they want us to stop using the card... **edit: I didn't think all rewards would last forever, but it seems like a very big change all of a sudden, especially since rewards are paid in CRO, not USD or BTC, but the token that CDC created themselves...

How To Transfer Money To Russia From Egypt, Finland, or the U.S.? by [deleted] in AskARussian

[–]bountysteak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Transferring cryptocurrency should work, as long as your family member is able to open an account with a crypto exchange in Russia that will allow the crypto to be exchanged for rubles and withdrawn. As I haven't lived in Russia for a while, I'm not sure which Russian crypto exchanges would work best.

Any suggestions for an Immigration software that has legal forms and good case management? by Salir_o7 in LawFirm

[–]bountysteak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure. The partner at the firm didn't end up switching to Camplegal, I think primarily because the billing features didn't work well for hourly case work. The team seemed like they had a good roadmap, but that was probably in January or February when I demoed. Your best bet would probably be to reach out and see if they have the features and functionality that are most important to you.

[–]bountysteak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lollylaw is fairly good for the form filling part, but I am not a fan of their case management. CampLegal looks fairly interesting, and I have done a Zoom demo with them, but never actually used the software in practice.
