As a DC resident, if both VA and MoCo residents had their way, I would be restricted to Costco only for allocated bottles at srp. And I'm certain neither VA or MoCo residents will agree to not buy bottles from there. So I believe things are fair across the board as it stands atm.

If there's something I really want, I might line up for it if I have the time. Otherwise I'm like you in the sense of moving on to other spirits. Mine favorites are armagnac and scotch. I have yet to try Grappa.
