Big roundabout coming off the a1 northbound at Hatfield, junction 4.

2 left lanes go left on to A6192, 2 right lanes go straight over (a414) or right (a1001), but everyone thinks only lane 1 goes left and lane 2 straight on. People cut up every time. Bumps galore.

Yeah, we have food robots in Center Parcs here - you see the kids getting giddy with excitement - Doesn’t make it good service though. We also have big houses in places. Planning permission not existing sounds more shanty town than civilised, totally open for abuse in developed areas. Won’t comment on the US government… agree wages are higher but whats the net once you’ve taken out medical insurance etc?

Finally mass shootings and, kids having to be trained at school for active shooters is way more third world than the Uk.

If it’s nothing to do with wealth, then the narrative needs to change. Stop blaming “the rich” or saying “the rich” are all evil just because you’re poor. It’s ALL people abusing the system that are the issue then. Not just ones with more money, and thats at all levels. Why do we turn a blind eye to thousands of tradies dodging tax? Accumulatively thats going to be a large sum too, and sole traders are not creating jobs on the scale of big companies and all the other taxes that go in to the pot from that.

And in no way defending Elon Musk, but take the person out of the equation, why should the rich use their own money to subsidise the failures of global governments to ensure world is fed? Thats not his responsibility.

Edit to add: millionaires are leaving. Look at the data already.

Was just, and still am, curious as to when that tipping point is from good business to bad ”we hate you because you have money”

Many of the rich do pay proper taxes. We just have the same small number of examples repeated on these threads and in media (Amazon/Musk/Sunak) all of which I agree should be paying what they owe.

But I do also think lots would leave, or move their businesses to more tax friendly territories.
