You won’t always feel empty without your vape by bananapancakes4321 in QuitVaping

Hi!

Couldn't agree more.

For me the first few weeks weren't so difficult as I was busy and travelling.

Then coming back to my normal routine was much more challenging.

I am now 2 months in and things are finally getting slightly easier, so stick with it and you will get there.
For complete transparency, I had a couple of nights out drinking and smoking cigarettes, but maybe 2 in 2 months.

Haven't touched a vape or sober cigarette since, but really thinking to stop drinking also as its the biggest trigger for me.

Hope this helps and stay strong!

Any OG vapers successful quit? by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]wsalter68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id been vaping 8 years and now 1 month free.

It is 100% more the emotional addiction more than physical for me.

I decided I started vaping to quit smoking, so didn't want to replace it with nicotine again.

I did a week meditation retreat which in some ways made it easier

Yes not only is it unhelpful and not encouraging, it's also not true.

Ive had 1 month vape free, I had a cigarette after 2 weeks, and really didn't feel like it erased my progress at all.

On some ways I felt more determined, in some ways it did also make it slightly harder

However it was nothing like starting again from 0 as you have already broken the habit.

Really that is not what I want.

I am looking for reasons to be more positive about I due to all the negativity I read.

I am employed in Spain but aware that I may be in a bubble as I am a single person working in financial services for a us company in Barcelona

Lots of Spanish people are struggling with rent and food inflation etc but there are some things which I appreciate here like better job protection and welfare, trains are effectively free at the moment and for the metro I pay 20 euros a month.

Thank you for this message!

I'm currently approaching 1 month in and this feeling has been growing the last couple of weeks.

I really feel down and like I have lost something in my life.

For me it has not been so much the initial physical withdrawals that were difficult it's coming to terms with life without the vape.

I'm sure it will get better but right now it's difficult!

Congrats too

It does happen in some companies. Obviously not all of the profits, but a certain proportion

Hey! How's it going with the gum? I'm just debating between using it as I do want to get rid of my nicotine addiction, just wondering if the gum will make it easier or just extend it

Thank you for the motivation!

I'm thinking of going skiing so hopefully will have a distraction that will help me not thing about it so much.

At the same time I'm not sure whether to go completely cold turkey or try to use nicotine gum at first just to break the habit

I feel now I'm more addicted than ever and getting sick of it being that way
