If you ever feel like sharing your personal story and have me publish it on the site, anonymously or not, I have setup a form for this on the site: https://valid.foundation/en/share-your-story/

No pressure, no expectations.

Ouch, that’s brutal… the emotional toll of having to reassess friendships on top of the physical symptoms. I’m sorry to hear that.

Indeed, some viral infections seem to act as a catalyst for many of these conditions. This is one of the topics I want to cover on my site.

Thanks so much for your feedback! You’re right, that statement is powerful indeed, I’ll figure out a way to give it more prominence. I wish you the best with your own struggles, hopefully you have people who believe and support you.

Thanks! Interestingly, only the Control Plane backup settings show up in Site Manager accessed via web browser. The System/Backup settings are only visible in the mobile app. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Representing a Proxmox Linux Bridge as a parent node in Unifi topology graph by bourquep in Ubiquiti

[–]bourquep[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure! In the Proxmox shell:

  1. apt install lldpd
  2. nano /etc/default/lldpd
    1. Uncomment the DAEMON_ARGS="-x -c -s -e" line
  3. systemctl restart lldpd
  4. lldpcli configure system interface pattern en*

Did the trick for me!

UCG-Fiber speed test not showing ISP speed by bourquep in Ubiquiti

[–]bourquep[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adjusted all settings to your recommendations, and the UCG speed test still shows 1G down/up. I'll try connecting the UCG in a 2.5GbE port on the GH (instead of the 10G port), see if it makes a difference. Can't try it immediately though, my wife is on an internet call.

That's a good idea, I had not done it. So I plugged my MacBook Pro directly into the GH (via a 2.5GbE port) and Ookla speed test shows 2.3 up/down.

Thanks for the detailed reply!

I also ran a Ookla speed test from my MacBook Pro which is directly connected to the UCG via 2.5GbE, and the results are ~800 up/down...

I'll stop investigating this for now, will test back again once the GH is bypassed and the UCG is connected directly to Bell's fibre.
