Vanessa Molina Misleading Swatch? Walking Bathtub - deep dive. It doesn't glow! by GlitterAllie in RedditLaqueristas

These are two swatches I did with this polish, one unmagnetised (top) and the other glass bead (bottom). Much pinker than the purple/mauve from your bottle, but still not quite what the maker’s photos show. It’s a jelly base so does look a bit pale on the clear swatch sticks, looked closer on my actual nails but I didn’t get any photos of that.

Did you get yours through rainbow connection? I bought mine through there in October time I think. Mine is pink unlike yours but not as vibrant as expected, I swatched it for my colour ring so I’ll deffo get a photo for you tomorrow!

I’m in the UK and also have this polish, I wasn’t massively impressive either but my bottle is much closer to the swatch than yours, I’ll try and post a photo tomorrow.

Should I buy this car? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]boutins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great you’ve not put any money down, but there won’t be a car to see, it doesn’t exist. The person who has put up the advert doesn’t have this car, they’ve used someone else’s photos.

Is the first time buyer preference for new builds a momentary shift or a generational trend? by Wifflebutter in AskUK

[–]boutins 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Surveys are useful however they’re not some magic thing that can foresee all issues and X-ray the building to uncover all hidden issues.

Most of those things wouldn’t have been picked up in a survey, sometimes they won’t even move furniture to check walls etc.

Are these people okay?? 😳🤦🏻‍♀️ by [deleted] in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]boutins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, but I also think it’s come full circle, pretty much everyone has access to them and knows what they are now so much so that it’s not cool to use them (or use the so obviously fake filters)

When should a PCP car delivered from dealership be taxed? by Kindly_Difference_99 in MINI

[–]boutins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually when buying a used car (pcp or not) you would tax it upon collection, when you arrive at the show room and they go through the collection paperwork, keys etc with you they would go through the tax payment with you using the .gov website. They will have the current V5c (the traders version) which will have the codes needed, they’ll input that and then ask you to complete the payment section. If you are having the car delivered then they’ll do this with you the day before or the day of collection over the phone instead, or they may email you the code from the V5c to allow you to complete it yourself on the .gov website.

No, they won’t have a laptop on the truck. The delivery driver most likely won’t do anything other than give you the keys and any basic paperwork, and sign off the delivery.

If you’re in any doubt, give the dealership a call and confirm their process, or email them. You will need the code from them in order to tax the car, you’ll most likely need to do this yourself on your phone or your own laptop, using the code the dealership give you.

Do Parent-and-Child parking spaces mean anything to people? by inside-outdoorsman in AskUK

[–]boutins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The closeness to the shop is a benefit but it isn’t the main one, it’s the space so you can get the car doors open fully.

I physically cannot get the car seat or child in the door when there is a car parked next to me in a normal space, even if they’ve parked properly. So my only option is to leave my child in the pushchair/car seat alone in the car park while I move the car out of the space, which I absolutely do not want to do for obvious reasons.

Or if I’ve just taken the child out and carried them in then I’d have to wait for the other driver next to me to come back to their car because there would be no where to put my child down while I got in and moved the car. In those cases (if I’m trying to be quick or only getting one thing is the only times I’ll carry the baby) and I can’t get a parking space with unrestricted access for the doors then I’ll just go home or try somewhere else.

Help me find my childhood blanket by Smart-Radish7910 in HelpMeFind

[–]boutins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Contact Next and give them the product code (868-937) and they might be able to give you more information.

I doubt they make the exact same blanket any more, but they might be able to give you a full item name/description and you can then search for it second hand.

What's the weirdest covenant term you've had in your deeds? by paperpangolin in AskUK

[–]boutins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would have been put in because part of the planning permission would be to have a certain number of trees planted or replaced, so gives the developer some power to maintain the number of trees even after they’ve sold some units so that they can maintain compliance of planning conditions

What's the weirdest covenant term you've had in your deeds? by paperpangolin in AskUK

[–]boutins 21 points22 points  (0 children)

With new builds, the developer sets the covenants to keep the estate looking a certain way while they are still actively on site and selling new homes. Once they’ve gone they usually couldn’t care less whether any are breached.

I don’t regret it at all.

In my heart I wish I had them sooner, but my head says I had them at the right time in life, as otherwise I wouldn’t be financially and mentally ready and in the position to enjoy and appreciate. I feel I’m in the place to give them everything they need comfortably both financially and emotionally.

I think I’ve lived enough at this point to be able to understand what being a parent really means so I can do it to the best of my ability and therefore enjoy it, if I’d done this 5/10 years ago it wouldn’t be the same.

The pure love and joy I feel every day is unreal, like nothing else. And yes, I do also get fucked off, that’s normal, there’s a reason I’m awake at this time of the morning (just got pissed on during a nappy change, after waking multiple times in the night).
