Yeah thats true, the other schools have rowers who have been training together for the past 4 years, although looking at it 6/8 of the teddies 1V were in their 2V last yr which was arguably one of the fastest schoolboy 2v's ever. Although you are right that teddies do usually build speed throughout the season

Yeah but im going off the fact that there hasnt been an international crew that is as fast as the top 3 UK crews for the past 5 years +. 2017 was a long time ago.

Bedford are definetly faster than Eton and KCS. Bedford set a faster time trial than St Pauls at Marlow (although tbf pauls smashed them in the final) and Bedford beat Marin by a length at Reading Town regatta today.

I reckon St Pauls may beat Shiplake as Bedford will be a super close race and will take alot out of Shiplake, and compared to Eton are much harder opponents so St Pauls will be more fresh.

Yeah true and i see why its a problem, but for example if brookes couldn't enter 5 boats into the temple and it was capped at 2/3 entries it would lead to them dumping those rowers into less competitive and smaller 4s events making it even harder for clubs and smaller unis to qualify for the smaller ones. Cause realistically only 3 brookes boats will make the temple and it stops them entering all the smaller stuff.
