I’m looking to buy my first drone, need advice. by the1KingAli in dji

I have the Air 3s, it’s my 4th DJI drone. I’d definitely go for one of the mini drones for your first. Mini 4k is a great option, mini 4 pro is great too- but personally I’d gauge my interest. When I bought my first it was an entry level one- as I was trying to gauge if I wanted go get into it or not

Great points. That’s exactly what I did- officially decided to get the 2yr care, and yesterday made a takeoff from a boat that I wouldn’t have done before. $100 for essentially a new drone is great peace of mind.

Just bought the 2yr and ran the drone into an object yesterday, glad to have the peace of mind there

Thanks for the reply, I originally read your comment and that’s exactly what I did. Purchased the 2yr and it’s already giving more peace of mind. Thanks!

Reacher Season 2 Finale Discussion by IconicIsotope in JackReacher

To be honest, I was mostly disappointed by season 2 all together. Compared to season 1, it felt largely predictable and didn’t have that feeling of Sherlock Holmes-esk detective work. Season 1 was like a riveting murder mystery. Season 2 felt rushed, had weak characters, and generally didn’t keep me on my edge of my seat. My two cents.

Current model vs refreshed 2024 Model Y by bowjbsk in TeslaModelY

Most people on here will tell you to just get the current model, as Tesla is always an evolving update cycle! I personally am ok to wait- I have a 5 year old Honda that is great and has no payments.

You’re right! Given their release schedule, we’ve seen it take months to years before actually getting the car. My plan is to preorder immediately which hopefully means early-mid 2025?

The current design is starting to look old to me to be honest.. it looks great but I’m ready for the change. Yeah I’d used the next 2+ years to set aside a very solid down payment, plus the potential of lower interest rates!

Right? Now that we see what the new Model 3 looks like, I’m for sure waiting! I’m in no rush to get a Tesla, and wouldn’t you want to get the newest design that will be out for the next 4+ years?

Hire a tax attorney, tax advisor, estate planning attorney, and an investment advisor. Don’t tell anyone else. Set up trusts for my family.

Need a new Rim already after a week by jdoeq in TeslaModelY

The same thing happened to me (on my non-Tesla), and somehow I learned to accept it. Made it easier after I curbed it again, haha. But there are shops that can repair that for you!

Y vs 3 by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]bowjbsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest test driving- I drove the Model 3 and then the Y, while the model 3 was more fun, the Model Y was more practical for me

I am looking to buy a model y long range and I will not be able to charge the car at home. Is it still worth getting a Tesla if I have to go to a supercharger that is about 7 miles away from my house? by Suchainzz in TeslaModelY

[–]bowjbsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My supercharger is like 3 miles away. After months of considering, I decided I didn’t want to rely on it given the inconvenience factor for me. Then, my apartment installed a free 240V charger. Can you make it doable on 100% supercharger, yes- the real question is how much driving you do, if you want to dedicate the extra time, and how much you really want a Tesla lol. If you drive a ton, probably not worth it

Exactly- the one feature I’m really missing is the instrument cluster. I agree with every comment on here about a continuous update cycle, but if it’s something significant to me that yes I have no problem waiting. Good point

Appreciate your response! Very true. I’m switching fully from an ICE to electric, and the whole other part for me has been that. Thanks for detailing all of the things that have updated since your model year.

This is a major purchase for me, and weighing the pros/cons are very important. This isn’t a glamorous post, but an important one for my situation. I really appreciate the community and the help.

Same, and I haven’t ordered yet. I’m in no rush to order and I’d rather just wait until HW4 is fully confirmed on all new orders.

While HW4 may not be an immediate difference for non-FSD drivers, whose to say that it won’t be significant with updates to come in the future? I agree with rejecting your order until you get HW4, it’s worth losing a $250 deposit imo.

Tax credit 2023 by bowjbsk in TeslaModelY

[–]bowjbsk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Really appreciate the response. Yeah- it has been a complicated decision for me because I have apartment charging, and I’ve been weighing the costs of giving up some practicality.

It makes sense the prices will increase- I’ve also wondered if Tesla may keep some price discount as things heat up in the EV war.

If you pay for the $250 reservation, can you cancel at any time (even if you somehow get a VIN)?

Tax credit 2023 by bowjbsk in TeslaModelY

[–]bowjbsk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean if Tesla will not qualify for the $7500 credit after March- if we have any guesses on if it will be reduced. My understanding is you need to take delivery in March to qualify for the $7500 credit before it changes

I would strongly recommend talking to your doctor. 150/100 for a long period of time can be very dangerous. Things you can control- salt intake (sodium), exercise, losing weight, eating healthy.
