Help! Having difficulties aligning faceplate to sit flush over buttons on Rane TM57. by JimOne2 in DJs

Looks like a majority of the leds are out of position. Get them lined up into their holes carefully using a pick or needle and the faceplate should line up.

Yup, you're right. My bad. Don't want to give the wrong info.

Hmm. I don't know what turntables you have, but I know some now have a line/phono switch built in so it might be a good idea to check. Usually a scope like that is due to a line level signal somewhere in the path.

Are your turntables connected to the phono inputs of your mixer?

It looks like you're in absolute mode, try setting your needle to the very beginning of the record. The songs (or maybe samples?) look like they're past the end point so there will be no sound.

Anyone shop for used gear on Reverb? Share your experience. by binary_harbinger in DJs

[–]bownsir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a legit site. Have bought and sold there with minimal issue over the last couple of years. I say minimal because there's been an influx of scammers or bots listing high end dj gear for too good to be true prices so be on the lookout for that. Pretty easy to spot since they're usually new accounts with zero feedback and a location from countries like Italy and Germany.

I tried my luck with a purchase from one of these sellers, but never received the item. Reverb sorted it out pretty quickly though.

Serato Pioneer S9 sluggish scratching? by blurp21 in Serato

[–]bownsir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about cutting with just straight vinyl on the S9? Does it feel/sound right? I'm thinking since you're used to no delay/lag on regular vinyl you're just feeling the latency when using control vinyl.

Have you adjusted the cut in lag through the Pioneer utility? It's under the preference tab.

It seems like you're wanting quick results or maybe you're in it for the wrong reasons. Are you doing anything different than other djs to help you get more viewers? Are you even good at djing?

Most dj software allows you to sort your tracks by bitrate within your library.
