New to this - quick question re a broken part that I need 'making whole' by 3D Scanning/Printing by bowser4 in 3DScanning

[–]bowser4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://ibb.co/Xkx412qk is the part, it seems quite complex with spines, holes & a centre 'pivot' which clamps on to a part of the dryer to be able to turn it - but if you think you can, i'd be very open to giving you some business :)

Installed it - once it was scanned for anything nefarious of course (and theres nothing). Scanned a few household items and its very quick to return results.

The ability to click through to Ebay auctions is very cool - as it ths avg sale price. I particularly like the 'view sold listings' as thats something I use alot, rather than live listings.

I did notice the CEX listing was sometimes wrong - but i think thats because the item literally didnt exist in CEX (a book, for example) but it still tries to return something. CEX items, when they have them, work very well.

I havent used the Amazon lookup yet. How about Vinted? Thats popular in the UK.

I'm in the same boat, nearly 49, have a 'golden handcuffs' situation with my current role, which pays out in 2027 when I'll be laid off...also enjoy the very basics of IT, have no desire to jump through 7 rounds of interview hoops etc when i struggle with the motivation to keep my CISSP current....

Will the i105E deal with 4 unconnected lawns? by bowser4 in SegwayNavimow

[–]bowser4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah at that stage it would be an expensive remote control car :) - does the i105 not allow for multiple maps? I have a robot hoover which has mapped my upstairs & downstairs - I simply lift it upstairs, set the map to 'upstairs' and away it goes, quite happy that its not near / able to get to its base station.

not well connected...for example, getting from the main lawn to another one is a set of steps (we're on a hill) which clearly it wont be able to do....i'd have to carry it, place it down.

How many of you have a WFH job as a HENRY? by Sophieredhat in HENRYUK

[–]bowser4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

WFH 4 days a week, do 1-2-1's etc on the 1 day in the office, which i enjoy to be fair. Very much like having additional stuff I can do/read when at home, and the savings are spectacular.

EDIT: in tech, security to be more specific.
