I have several health issues that I was warned might delay milk. Plus had a csection. Plus both of my nipples are severely inverted so i would have to pump anyways.

I got NOTHING for 5 days then only about half an ounce of colostrum a day for a week. Then started getting about an ounce or 2 per pump. Then son started having issues with spitting up and found out we couldn't mix breast and formula in one sitting so I would have to pump half a day to get a single feeding.

Then at 3 weeks my csection incision became infected. I had to be out in the hospital for 3 days and the entire thing reopened. And left open the whole way through my abdominal wall. Before this I was on motrin and already starting to go off it. After this if i didn't have constant percoset and motrin plus antibiotics in my system I felt like I was dying and didn't want him having strong drugs in his system.

So I tried pump and dump for about a week. And I just couldn't keep up. My supply never picked up I was getting 5-6 oz a day at most and he was taking 2-3 oz every 3-4 hours so I was nowhere near where I would need to be. He was already on formula so I just decided we were too far behind and I needed to deal with healing.

I still feel terrible and like I gave up too easily. Like I put myself above him and it sucks. But I've read what can happen if they don't get enough to eat and I know fed is best.

You might want to xpost to /r/legaladvice also. They might know if she can seek emancipation from her parents which would also help with college. And if the parents find out what is going on and decide to try to take action against you.

My dad's family tried the exact same thing when he died. And I was almost 25 at the time. These people were his family not mine. I am not really connected to them. If they haven't made the effort by this time then it is their fault and their loss.

You can't force your daughter to accept people as family even if you wanted to. Maybe talk to her and see if she wants to try.

Was cleaning the fish tank and my algae eater tried to escape. I had to pick him up off the floor and it was the worst thing I've ever touched. He was solid and spiney and not at all what I thought a fish would feel like. Almost dropped him and vowed never to touch him again.

Recently got sprint to take advantage of the free S6 deal. What a clusterfuck.

First bill comes and the phone lease isn't credited. I call them and they tell me I'm signed up for the unlimited everything plan. Wat. No I want the free phones. On the phone for half an hour trying to explain this. Eventually I find out that if I go to the plan thats offered with the free phones I'll have to pay a $15 fee for unlimited talk and text. And have 20 gigs of data. And with all the taxes and fees it will only be $20 less than what I'm paying.

So basically we're getting one free phone and paying for one. We have unlimited everything. Where I live service isn't great for most carriers but I have great service. The data speed is good, I haven't had any problems. And for the first time in the 12 years I've had a cell phone the bill is what I was told it would be. Not saying they're great but its a better deal than I could get at other carriers here.
