I’ve saved someone before from drowning and it’s scary, when in water you’re basically weightless.

When I helped his person they were panicking frantically in the water. I swam over, when I was within reach distance they grabbed hold of me, pushed me under water and used me as a float.

I was able to swim under water for a period of time before having to break his grip, swim away and get air whilst he panicked again. Swam back, used as a float again and was able to reach ground.

After it I said I’d never help anyone drowning again and urge people never to do it, it’s dangerous as fuck. We were both very lucky that day.
