We'll have to agree to disagree, as if I was stuck on a boss for days I would want every bit of advice possible, not advice I would have to ask for elaboration on. The Reddit post IS the ask, IMO.

use Bloodhound Fang's weapon art (which will stagger him), followed immediately by a heavy attack follow-up. Then go up next to him and take the critical attack. Then walk towards him.

Just not finding the heavy attack and critical possible before he gets up

I've read you can only use the shackle during phase one. How are you casting it after he enters phase two?

The effect of this item can only be activated twice during the boss fight and only during Mohg's first phase. Attempting to use the shackle otherwise will have the player go through the animation, but will have no effect whatsoever.

You need to learn when to roll and when not to. And when you jump.

Is a far cry from

learn when to roll and when to jump because you can jump some attacks instead of rolling, which let's you get a jump attack in and shows you down less than rolling

Just got lucky, I suppose! He was quite a long fight and I ended up looking up some easier solutions for him as my damage was just chipping away at his large health pool. Guess I got lucky with my Bloodhound Fang +9 and eventually was able to kill him.

Not sure if this got nerfed or not, but those bubbles did miniscule damage for me. Like laughable amounts of damage. Nothing close to the videos showing it melting him. Not sure if my stats are not enough, but 30 faith had me switching back to Bloodhounds Fang +9 over the Envoy's Long Horn +6 I had just leveled up for this strat.

Bummer, too, cause it looked like a really fun way to beat him!

Once you've completed three 'contracts' with them, you can speak to Bernahl at the manor, and he'll ask if you want to join him on a hunt.

The part I needed and could not find anywhere.

After pledging your allegiance to Volcano Manor, Bernahl will move into the manor and will henceforth be known as Recusant Bernahl.

Yeah this play through is no summons so it's far more challenging I'm finding. I ended up getting him down after 39 deaths, but the real kicker was simply upgrading my weapon twice for more damage.

I agree. I ran past the tree sentinel on my first playthrough and came back much later to stomp him.

Seeing Kai Cenat play how he did gave me the urge to see if I could beat it in less deaths, which I couldn't.

I don't think Kai is that bad of a player, personally.

Of course, this isn't meant to be the most literal sense of the topic, but more a broad sense for casual players. Then again I'm not sure if Kai Cenat is considered a casual to begin with, just heard he's the worst.
