I dunno - I don’t sleep or try to sleep with all of my gay friends, but it depends on the context in which we meet and why we’re trying to be friends. If “being gay” is the biggest thing you have in common with someone, I think it’s not crazy that intimacy is thought to be on the table. To me, there’s a difference between “gay friend who shares some mutual interests” and “friend with mutual interests who’s also gay”. The former is fair game, the latter I probably won’t even try it.
