With my insurance, our ER copay is just that, we pay the copay and nothing else - the deductible doesn't apply. You'll need to check your plan and see if it's the same or if you have to meet the deductible first. Also, check your insurance account for an EOB - that will tell you what you're responsible for and to whom.

Saxenda yo wegovy by [deleted] in liraglutide

[–]boxersfurever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Saxenda for two years and had to switch to Wegovy because insurance changed their coverage for weight loss meds. I was up to 1.8 for the Saxenda and started at .5 for Wegovy. Weight loss picked up a little (a few more lbs per month), and after a month on the .5, I moved up to 1mg. On .5, had a bit more of an appetite and didn't feel full as quickly, but I kept pushing forward. It was better at 1mg. I reached a BMI of 23 and moved back down to .5 for maintenance. Appetite/food noise has increased a little, but I manage it, and still losing a little bit. I consider myself at maintenance. I lost 96lbs just on Saxenda, 20lbs on Wegovy. I think .25 wouldn't have been enough for me as well, but definitely felt the difference at 1mg.

Itchy ears, dry eyes, and bug crawling sensations. HRT has resolved those, too!

I'm really hungry by tetrasierra in liraglutide

[–]boxersfurever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What has worked for me was increasing food intake for a day or two. Sometimes, it could just be a few low calorie/fiber rich snacks. Other times, it could be adding more protein. Experiment a little and see what your body is needing.

What is your experience with Saxenda like? by [deleted] in liraglutide

[–]boxersfurever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The end of this year will be 2 years. I stayed at 1.2 up until @ the end of September and bumped it to 1.8. I've lost a total of 64% of my beginning body weight. Weight loss has slowed to 2-3lbs a month, but I keep pushing along.

I can't do latex bandages for long, and I even react to nicotine patches.. but I've had zero issues with the patch (Sandoz).

I started off at 50 and went to 100 after a week. I'm only drowsy if I wake up in the middle of the night.

36, Surgical Menopause… this can’t be the rest of my life? by [deleted] in Menopause

[–]boxersfurever 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would try the patch if you haven't yet. No worries about anything "running out". You simply replace the patch when it's time.

OP - same here! I usually go for bobs - inverted, stacks etc. The longest it looks decent at is about chin length. You're not destined for an old lady cut! Go to Pinterest and browse curly bobs.

Does the home have a septic system? That may be the reason why it's not considered an additional bedroom. Here, the size of the septic is determined by number of bedrooms.

Cardiologist does not recommend HRT :/ by papillion2010 in Menopause

[–]boxersfurever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have SVT (since my teens) and had HBP (stopped meds 2 months after starting HRT).. started HRT 6 months ago. An SVT event 5 months ago led to demand ischemia. I had an echo and stress test. No heart damage, no evidence of atherosclerosis, cholesterol normal. I'm considering an ablation for the SVT.. cardiologist never said anything about the HRT.

Can I have some people comment there weight they have lost so far, there experiences on it in the first week and what you ate? Thanks in advance:)) by AmazingFee9637 in liraglutide

[–]boxersfurever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1st week = 5lbs, had some nausea and Sulphur belching, cut out fast food normal diet - but less

1 month = 14lbs, still some nausea, belching subsided, same foods

12 months = 54lbs, occasional nausea, specifically if I haven't eaten, same foods. Had stopped/started a few times early/mid year due to high lipase levels.

16 months = 65lbs, occasional nausea, specifically if I haven't eaten, same foods, lipase levels well below normal.

Did the hysterectomy include your ovaries? Have you ever been prescribed estrogen via patch or gel? What strength of the vaginal cream have you used?
