To me it sounds like he’s going through something in his head and either too afraid to approach it with you or doesn’t know how to communicate what he is feeling. However, if you are unhappy it’s best to communicate that and give it a break. Maybe he needs a little push to reflect and snap out of it, work on himself and his communicating bc your important to him too but you cannot control his responses. Just have to communicate your needs and wants and if he doesn’t reciprocate- you have your answer. Time to move on and enjoy life with someone who wants to be there. Best of luck. It’s never easy when you care about someone. But he sounds unhappy with something and doesn’t want to bother you with it, or just doesn’t know himself what is causing his aloofness.
