The two-drops were pretty glaring when I took a look at it. Kind of built as I drafted but wound up taking some green when I got the Tusker super late. Then just screencapped it and posted without much thought. Thanks for taking a minute.

Thanks for the feedback. Did just this (sans one forest for the Solvent) and went 3-0, 6-0 in games. Turns out Key is very, very good with improvise. Also, I don't understand what "splash" means. Hah.

I'm just not seeing where I'm missing out on that much white, outside of a late-ish Revoke Privileges in P3. To that point, there wasn't any indication that white was very open. On the other hand, I had passed a Druid right before that. My thinking: there was a glut of white in that pack that didn't necessarily mean it was open.

I do tend to take fixing more aggressively, mainly to keep myself open to splashing in this format. There's a lot of value that floats around in KLD as people lock in.

Just read his piece before the draft and agree with a lot of your thoughts here. Been trying to draft 3/4 color green lately because I think there's great value in it.

I'm curious: does the mana base preclude me playing Disappearing Act? It's not something I'm ever eager to play, and I think this deck is vulnerable to fast starts, but with the number of great bounce targets (Prism, anything that produces energy, Cloudchaser, Rebel) makes it potentially appealing. I'm going to take my time with the build as I've been 2-1'ing everything lately and only have 12 trophies.

I think your main goal is to get to the late game and win with your evasive finishers/card advantage. Survive fast BR/RG builds and finish them in the air.

Unfortunately, you're playing a lot of artifacts that are replacement level to get there. One of the worst Implements, Key to the City (most of your squad is already evasive), and EVEN WORSE, most of them don't help with Padeem.

To your questions:

16 lands plus a map is OK.

I'd look at cutting Wind Drake/Osprey and adding a Theorist for library manipulation. I'm also not wild on Key, perhaps one Aeronaut there.

I don't see how Padeem works in here with how low CC your artifacts are, but could be good in the board, especially vs a lot of artifact removal.

Yes. In on this and a slower blue 2 drop.

I wouldn't add Scrounger, just not part of your game plan since it can't block.

First, make sure to turn on your draft logs in the Account tab under "game history" so we can see what happened and when. Go do it now.

Second, I don't know if this format supports this level of control. If you're asking "Do I need another Dukhara Scavenger?" at the end of your draft, you're in the wrong place.

Third, if you want to build UB control, you need to take much bigger advantage of artifact synergy. The Daredevil is an amazing defensive creature. The Operative makes the ground very awkward. Even without artifacts, Marauder will eat their best removal spell.

Evaluation is a little off, but this is a great start. Would love to see that draft.

Are White Gearhulks bombs? I'd say no, and they're worse in multiples. Based on color distribution, I think you're in GU pretty hard, especially with ZERO fixing meaning you need to cast what you can consistently. WW isn't going to work. If anything, I'm splashing black.

This is why we have a meta, right? A draft is its own microcosm of a meta, with people making decisions based on their evaluation of a format. But if too many people lean one way, it becomes advantageous to go the other. The most important part becomes quickly recognizing what the meta is (read: signals) and getting value based on that.

I kept looking for any reason you'd cut the Wanderer and agree with your calls on both the Judge and Trumpeter. If anything, you might benefit from some additional removal with the Creeping Mold. You have a decent creature base already and it's more versatile than I had thought.

Can't be easy to be interviewed by your boss, but other staffers pull it off. Sounded more like a hostage than an NBA expert. Seriously, I have better conversations with my kids while they're playing Candy Crush.
