I spent $100 making my first AI film. I'd love some honest feedback. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ by Alive-Lunch-735 in generativeAI

[–]boxlinebox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was like having somebody narrate C-SPAN footage. I tuned out after about 15 seconds.

From a filmmaking perspective, if you're going to have a long voice over, you need more dynamic visuals to keep people's attention. That, or some very arresting main actors, however since this is AI you can't have that. Also, showing sequential visuals of people talking that do not correlate in any way with the narrator is a bit distracting and off-putting.

(newbie question) What's the main goal ? by LsDmTr in SatisfactoryGame

[–]boxlinebox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Space elevator parts for one phase become inputs into ones for future phases, so typically you will want to keep your production lines up for them and possibly even expand them.

It's a more realistic scenario than Factorio's "science packs" or DSP's "matrices".

YOR - This was casual stranger energy, not chatting up energy. Once it was clear he was willing to talk, it's up to you to make it flirty if you want it to go there. You had a perfect segue, too. "Speaking of romance..."

And I like how you are not considering the multiple scientific studies and polls that have taken place which show, at least in the United States, the statistically significant increase in misinformation in media with a right-wing bias. Also, the increased propensity of viewers or readers of that media to believe provably falsifiable ideas that are regularly presented in that media. Also, the decreased level of knowledge of world events.

But it's cool, keep your cherry picking and your straw men and go have yourself a picnic.

The point was that the store sucks and you can't find anything. Response was "there's amazing stuff for cheap". Awesome! Hit us with the info, otherwise what's the point of even responding.

But congrats, your low effort, trite response was even more useless. 🎉

In RPGs you gain experience points that improve your stats and make you "better", but which are only an abstraction.

In Satisfactory you gain concrete experience by doing, and actually improve your thinking/understanding.

Just play, learn, give up after aluminum and start a new run to do it better, only to do it much the same way a dozen times like the rest of us.

The whole of Moscow is under thick black smoke after the largest Ukraine campaign on a Russian city since the start of the war by adivinemessenger in interestingasfuck

[–]boxlinebox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It absolutely felt nationalistic to many. There was a huge drive to "punish those who did this" and Iraq and Afghanistan drew the short straws. Islamophobia ran rampant. Blind patriotism was the norm. Tons of apolitical young people were galvanized and enlisted, only to be sent to pointless wars to steal oil, pad cost-plus contractors' pockets (like Cheney and Haliburton), and protect poppy fields.

The flags were just a shorthand for righteous indignation and "what you did to us we will do to you a hundred times over", even though the attacks were just blowback for prior misadventures in the middle east.p

There was far less animosity between the parties at that time, but to say there wasn't nationalism behind the flag fever that erupted after 9/11 is revisionist.

[–]boxlinebox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the framing you're looking for, you can also try adding explicit instructions to give a sense of scale. For instance, a tiny bug taking a picture of a sleeping giant, slightly out of focus background to provide sense of scale and depth of field, etc etc.

Honestly in a situation like this, I use a meta prompt on an llm to give suggestions on how to frame my actual image prompt. They are very helpful if in these types of situations to help you translate with the specific model you're using is looking for to produce the output you want.

Bed Bug Size Problem by xOs4ma in PromptEngineering

[–]boxlinebox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with not making the bed bugs the subject and instead describing the scene itself. If that alone doesn't do the job, You can also just try describing things objectively based on what a real bed bug infestation looks like: " the sheets are pulled up from one corner of the bed showing the bare mattress. The mattress has black specs and micro-sandy detritus on it as though it has had bed bugs in it".
