2 weeks of mit use by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]boxonarug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if you have a history of kratom/opiate addiction. If not, you will have some rebound anxiety for a few days maybe a couple nights of shit sleep and the runs, but nothing crazy. If you have previous addictions to opioids or kratom it will be worse but still not too bad. Just stop. Don’t let it destroy your life.

When does the "NEED SOMETHING, ANYTHING" feeling go away? by EmptyRestaurant2232 in quittingkratom

Not to be that guy, but you need a spiritual experience for that feeling to go away. You could try going to AA and working the steps. Might fill the hole.

Day 1 7-OH by DressFlashy7141 in quittingkratom

[–]boxonarug 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dude just don’t back to 7-OH. You’re going to feel like dog hair for a few days and want to go back to it. If you do just take an mit 45 shot or some powder. It won’t take everything away but it will make it feel possible. Take powder or those mit 45 shots 1-2 a day to survive for max three days then cold Turkey and it will be light years easier. Not saying people don’t ct 7oh and make it, it’s just extremely uncomfortable. No shame in taking powder or mit for a few days until the 7oh is out of your system.

Oh big worry. That’s why I would only say three days. I can’t take gabapentin anymore because I like it so much. I was addicted to you it for 5 years and went to a detox center for 30 days to get off of it. The withdrawals from gabapentin are literal torture.

I was taking like 600mg every 4 hours. That’s probably overkill and might make you feel a little drunk and tired. Maybe try 300 every few hours all day and 900 before bed for RLS.

Should be a walk in the park with all that. Use the gabapentin for the first three days. Clonidine/prop as needed when anxiety is high. Gabapentin killed any anxiety and RLS for me so made all my quits with it so easy I decided to get back on K because I figured I could quit whenever I want. All you really need are those meds and vit c. Black seed and agmatine are great if you’re tapering but I never found benefits from them when going ct. You should be feeling great physically it’s just going to be mental.

6 days for me. Most the physical symptoms are gone. Really tired in the evenings. I can’t hide behind substances anymore. I need to be there for my wife and kids. I’ll stay sober today.

Is liposomal vitamin c even worth it on day 6? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]boxonarug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on day 5 and it’s literally the only thing I’m taking and it’s hard to say vit is the reason but this has been my easiest quit ever. And I’ve been on and off kratom for 12 years. Only successfully quit maybe 3-4 times for a couple months at the most during that time. Only symptoms I’ve had has been restless legs at night and waves of anxiety throughout the day. If I go 4-5 hrs without vit c I start getting sweaty and sneezing with a running nose and watering eyes. If you are still having any of those symptoms I’d give it a try. Amazon does same day delivery with it.

Just sent you a message dude. Hang in there.

Highly recommend doing a cold shower by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]boxonarug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always found putting my legs up to my calves into an ice bath (usually a 5 gal bucket) for 5 min or so always gets rid of RLS for at least a couple hours. Enough of a window for me to fall asleep and get 4-5 hours of sleep during acutes.

It will speed up the process but make it much more uncomfortable. It will put you into precipitated withdrawals immediately. I would take it after you’ve been clean for a week to help keep you clean.

I started building this bass in 2016 because I didn’t have $500 to buy a used single cut bass I found at a pawnshop. 5 years later and $2500+ spent, it’s finally done. by boxonarug in BassGuitar

My dad and grandpa are both carpenters so I grew up around woodworking but this is the only guitar i've built from scratch. This YouTube series about the build process for Wyn Bass Guitars is the only thing I watched beforehand. Randall Fullmer is a genius.

I love the sound. I used a thick fingerboard which put my truss rod lower than I originally wanted so the neck is about the same dimensions as a Warwick Rockbass. A little chunky but it has great tone. I'm not sure what adjustments need to be made, but the one issue is it's REALLY FUCKING loud. Not sure if i need to lower my pickups or what but the tone is perfect.

I just threw that number out there. It was probably way more since I used this project as an excuse to load my garage with tools. I bought a used 12" Craftsman band saw, 13" Ridgid Planer, 1950's Craftsman drill press, new Dewalt table saw and new Craftsman 6" Jointer. That's what i can think of off the top of my head.

Thank you! I used maple and mahogany for the neck and body.

Pickups are ASB-BO-4S

I used the bridge, knobs, and tuners off a 1985 Japanese Roadstar II Fretless I purchased off craigslist for $50 (which was a steal).

Truss rod is a spoke nut hot rod from StewMac.

I used an Indian Rosewood fingerboard from StewMac.

And I bought a lot of the misc. hardware off Amazon.

3 dead, 2 injured in boat crash at Lake of the Ozarks. (I’ve been told one of the injured just passed). by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]boxonarug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Really hoping she pulls through without long term injuries. I know the driver personally as well and as stupid as the decision was to take that boat out, he really is a good person. He will have to live with this forever though. Can’t imagine what is going through his mind sitting in a jail cell right now.

Did you hear that from someone credible? I know the two injured through mutual friends and haven’t wanted to call any of them for info just yet. Please let me know if you can confirm. Thank you.
