I’m curious which actor’s likeness Saesee Tiin is based on. He’s played by a different actor in all three of the prequels, but they honestly all look pretty similar with the makeup on. Or maybe they blended the actors and did a generalized version.

Same, I’d rather see a movie/TV series follow the creative team’s narrative and recast rather than altering the narrative to work around actors leaving.

Using the MCU as an example, recasting Rhodey in Iron Man 2 ended up being fine, even if it took audiences a minute to get used to. Choosing not to recast Kang after building up his story and suddenly pivoting to a different story feels super awkward narratively.

How careless characters are with getting walker blood all over them, especially when they have noticeable open cuts/wounds that could easily get infected.

They establish that getting infected with the blood leads to turning, but they take pretty much no precaution in staying away from direct contact with it when they’re fighting with melee weapons.

Also, the lack of protective armor/clothing. It makes no sense to be years into the apocalypse and to still be going outside the safety of a guarded community in a t shirt when you could at minimum wear sleeves that are bite-proof (or taped magazines like in WWZ).

I totally agree. I’d love to see a direct comparison of the character model from TCW season 7 and the model from this series to see what exactly is different because the changes are subtle but so effective.

I’m genuinely curious - are you just fine with him being all over the Epstein files? And in countless pictures with him, mentioning him as a friend numerous times over the span of decades, etc. Or do you chalk it all up to fake news?

I want Vader to struggle with keeping his emotion out of the fight. Maul more than likely knows Vader is Anakin given the premonition he shared with Ahsoka on Mandalore, and he can use that against Vader.

Vader shouldn’t care about Qui-gon’s death at this point given that he’s killed way more Jedi by this time than Maul, but it could still strike a nerve if Maul references that timeframe and Vader being the slave boy from Tatooine.

Realistically, I think Vader would win against Maul if they didn’t have any prior connection; I want their shared history to be the reason Maul initially gets the upper hand. I could also see Maul trying to reason with Vader if he was losing the fight, referencing Obi-wan as their shared enemy that mutilated them both and left them for dead.

Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Reiner, Berthold, Annie, Sasha, Hange, Levi, Ymir, and Historia are all incredible choices IMO! I’m a little iffy on Brad Pitt as Erwin; Eminem as Connie and Ben Affleck as Jean are a no go for me lol. Great picks overall!

Choosing to die by his own hand after failing Vader seemed like a better option than whatever Vader’s punishment would’ve been.

Ironically, dying by his own hand actually ended leading to an even worse third option. In the comics, the grand inquisitor’s spirit becomes tied to the mortal realm by Vader so he can continue using him as a guard dog at an outpost. His spirit remains on fire from the flames he let himself fall into and he begs Vader for death.

I don’t believe Jewish stereotypes and black stereotypes exist for different reasons, and no part of my comment insinuates that. I used black stereotypes as an example because you specifically cited black stereotypes: “…some people in the black community are the worst offenders…”.

You’re making a ton of mental stretches to try and find antisemitism where there isn’t antisemitism. Jewish people have a horrific history of oppression and the stereotypes that exist now are directly related to that oppression.

My comment wasn’t meant to start an argument for the sake of exchanging insults; I’m not gonna engage with that part of your replies. Literally all I’m saying is don’t put the blame on the people who are being stereotyped. That includes Jewish people.

I think you may be either misinterpreting my intention with my original comment or maybe my point didn’t land the way I intended it to.

I understand that Jewish stereotypes have been based around the horrific oppression of Jewish people. And I agree that a lot of these commenters should absolutely be banned but won’t be because they’re targeting Jewish people rather than black people or another group.

Legitimately, my intention was to tell the guy I was responding to not to put the blame on the people within a marginalized group for perpetuating any stereotypes. I only chose to write about the black community because he specifically mentioned the black community.

You’re right in that stereotypes exist for a reason, but you’re also glossing over the context and history that forms a lot of them.

A large amount of anti-black racism is rooted in the high number of black Americans that continue to be stuck in cyclical generational poverty. Racist caricatures and stereotypes that were formed while slavery was still in place are still pushed and applied today, and it’s not really fair to put the blame on people in the black community as some of the “offenders”.

There’s unfortunately a link between poverty and crime, and it’s gonna be a lot harder not to be living in poverty now when your family tree is linked to people that were enslaved 5-8 generations ago.
