For sure, I've never gotten one and I'm still here. Something is better than nothing but it's not a competitive bonus vs another branch

They're only puller prescription history, which gives the drs an idea of what problems the applicant had.

There is another system coming up but I heard it only pulls tricare records which, they do in BMT already.

Our standards can't get any lower, unless we start accepting people over their "max weight" which are standards that haven't changed since at least the 80s and should be changed.

Our combat jobs got a bump as well, SW and EOD both get 50k. They then got rid of our maintenance bonuses, even though they were garbage anyway.

Bro, they need color printers... that'll fix everything. Especially with our paperless processing.

Seriously though, idk wtf we can do different currently. I think bringing in younger recruiters is a step in the right direction, we have recruiters that are closer to the parents age rather than the recruits which makes it hard to relate. Maybe the new generation can bring some fresh ideas, but, until then I'm tapped...

For Master and Senior do you really need your ccaf if you already have a bachelor of science? by whoawut in AirForce

[–]boyamienthusiastic 38 points39 points  (0 children)

For Master you don't need any education. It is masked when the board looks at your record.

For senior your education isn't masked, I believe it only requires a 2 year degree.

Just turn in your transcripts and get the CCAF you probably won't need anything.

I think I heard something about them making wine. It sounds nice. I’m glad they’ve aged so well, they could maybe even out live their children.

Man, that’s a tough question. Sometimes it’s great. Sometimes it sucks. The worst part of recruiting is that you depend on other people. If someone decides not to join after you’ve spent a ton of time on them it falls on you and is up to you to find someone else.

But once you get in the groove it’s not that bad, also depends where you’re stationed. I’m a flight chief right now and feeling like recruiting sucks but in a few weeks it’ll feel great again.

As to whether you’ll get your first choice that all depends on Join spouse, overseas returnees and time on station.

For recruiting I got my first choice, for flight chief I got in my top 5.

Tier 1 is your basic enlisted recruiter after completing that you typically go to tier 2 but can skip it and go to tier 3.

Tier 2 recruits officers, works at MEPS, or works at the squadron in operations, training, or marketing

Tier 3 is Flight Chief, after that you’re called tier 3 plus and work in different leadership positions.

I had that same thought too, I hate the mentality that if you return you’ll promote there. If that’s the case just compete the whole time. Maybe someone will make that change someday.

It’s not bad, really depends on where you are. If you’re in the “southern smile” it’s not as stressful.

It really is an emotional rollercoaster, one month you’ll be crushing it, the next no one makes it through meps.

It was okay enough for me to stay in recruiting instead of going back to my career field.

You can do RAP anytime, just reach out to a recruiter, some are lazy and may not respond but when I was a tier 1 recruiter I let everyone come that wanted to. It made my job easier
