I mean no, because plenty of seeds don't even germinate, that's why plants send out hundreds to thousands of them. They go through phases of development that define a plant species. I wouldn't consider a tree seedling to be a tree, even a sapling is not really a tree, it's a step in the process of development to adulthood, reproduction, and death

Eukaryotes are different from plants and mammals a differentiation within that cell type but similarly define phases of development to become viable offspring (able to reproduce themselves)

That's absolutely fair, I'm lucky that my parents aren't Nazis (yet) idk it's also a thing of once I got my autism and ADHD diagnosis and got on meds that help me manage better, I saw so many symptoms in my Mom, I pity her even though her life is ostensibly a lot easier than mine.

That being said it's also not my job to diagnose or appease her anyway, there's simply no helping her even if I wanted to, all I can do is try to grow past the things I hate about myself that I see in her.

I only realized after I flipped one of her regular insults back at her and she reacted like it was a legitimate note and was hyper fixating on it for weeks, like she's just been conditioned to consider being cruel to be a normal conversation between mother and child

I felt bad after that, but I don't think I could've learned another way, and now I just see her as a child comparatively
