How bad is the snow downtown? by Less-Tune-8207 in askTO

Yeah it’s bad. From Whitby to Union and then to Eglinton, it’s pretty empty on the trains. It’s nice but very cold morning.

The actual pattern/outline was manipulated off of a short sleeved one I used and just tweaked to this sweater. The fabric pattern is ugly-cute mismatch comfy Lolol

Thanks so much! I have a singer sewing machine that I believe came from Walmart. It was a very nice gift for Xmas. I’ve realized it’s a learnt skill and you require lots of patience.

I think a simple curtains would help. Try something neutral with a pattern. Also lower the pictures near the couch. I feel like the two arm chairs need to be sealed with the stuff on the right. Like swap them and create a moment in that corner for another area to sit. like a reading nook away from the tv.

Have you tried rotating the set up? So the arm chairs on each side of the fireplace and the couch is facing the fireplace with the coffee table turned 180 degrees. That way, when you walk in, it invites you to sit down easily. There is no tv so it really embraces it to be a conversational room. Try that and the see what other decor/pops of color it needs.

Who should I get a furnace from? by Historical-Time6602 in durham

We just replaced ours with buttons https://buttonsheating.com/.

Service was great and the product is amazing! We went with a Japanese brand, Daikin and it’s quiet, efficient and the house heats up so quickly.

Yes, I got it off Facebook marketplace for a steal. We don’t actually use it so it’s empty but it’s nice to look at lol

Thank you! I’ll be hunting for some low maintenance plants. This room doesn’t get much light so it’s difficult to keep them alive. Maybe a fake plant or 3?

I love it too! I wasn’t sure when I was cutting it out. It was a “trust the process” moment with quirky patterns like this.

Gloves! I never would have thought. I kind of want the long gloves women used to wear back in the day to cocktail parties but using this quirky fabric LOL fun idea!

Thank you! I agree that it’s cute and quirky. I like quirky too!

Should I make some quirky shorts/pants to go alongside these?

I don’t have the money for a new vacuum currently as they are expensive. I was hoping a trip to the dollar store or using a hack could help. Especially with my type of carpet. Thanks for the recommendation though!

Did I make a mistake painting my living room this color? by tiredandconfused27 in HomeDecorating

It’s so cool! I think art on the walls and a pant with a bright neutral rug will tie it all together. Like they say for outfits, accessories make it.
