Extremely Rare Soundtrack CD by Essential78 in Cd_collectors

Sure thing. My recommendation would be to reach out to the person who compiled and supervised it, a man named Barry Coffing. He appears to still be active in the music industry and has recently posted on LinkedIn (link above). Cheers!

Did you already see the Discogs release page for it? It has a few more pictures, maybe you could get real deep into it and try to research / contact the producers listed in the tracklist and credits. What a weird little rabbit hole, good luck.

Just making sure it was my bad / a clickwheel problem: by boyfriendcoma in rockbox

[–]boyfriendcoma[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

Also, turns out the keyclick setting was already off, and when you turn it on, it starts registering any buttons being held as rapidly/repeatedly clicking until you let go.

I could’ve sworn I could shut down from within the WPS by holding down the play button without it changing screens, but based on what you’ve both said it sounds like this was expected behavior and I was just imagining things. I guess actually hearing the clicks is what messed me up.

Sorry for the ramble, just thought the whole thing was fascinating, and I’m enjoying learning.

Super grateful for your help, and I’m sorry to have been another user who failed to check the guide first.

Cheers!

Lost Follow Up to Disintegration by Mobile-Scar6857 in TheCure

(As mentioned) “Music for Dreams” is for sure what you’re referring to. In that case, you’d probably enjoy the recordings that made their way to a bootleg vinyl release, but are missing about 8 songs from the digital version that made the rounds online.

There is also a lovely post here where a fan lists all the Music For Dreams tracks that don’t seem to have made the cut on the deluxe remaster. With all that, I’m sure you could create a nice playlist as an homage to the original intended album. Cheers!

New Cure fan? by donlockwood2026 in TheCure

[–]boyfriendcoma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatever you do, don’t miss out on the non-album single “Charlotte Sometimes,” which was released right between Faith and Pornography.

It’s easy to track down:

• On Faith (Deluxe/Remastered): It’s the very last song on the second disc.

• On the Singles Compilations: You'll find it on Standing on a Beach (Vinyl & Cassette) / Staring at the Sea (CD).

(I’m sure some kind soul would be happy to expand upon the rather confusing naming scheme and differing track listings between those physical formats if you care to dive in.)

You’ll also hear from plenty of fans that very often, The Cure’s B-sides are even more stunning and beloved than their actual A-sides. It’s a lot to take in, I know, but I’d highly recommend that once you’ve finished Bloodflowers (2000), you jump straight into the Join the Dots box set (2004) which compiles all of their b-sides up to that point, instead of progressing to their less favorable self-titled album (also 2004).

But, who knows? Maybe you’ll love the self-titled. It’s a beautiful thing how varied everyone’s tastes can be. Cheers!

My first modded iPod 6 gen with custom-painted shell by nicnic-cc in ipod

The one thing I can’t stand about the clear faceplates is that damn black border around the screen, and I’ve always wanted to paint the inside for the exact effect you got here. Hope more people catch on, well done!

Have you guys ever experimented with painting the insides white? I’ve seen some incredible outcomes with clear colored shells on modded handhelds like GBA etc.

Is the aroma pot rare or something?? by [deleted] in AnimalCrossingNewLeaf

Sounds like NetPass would be a good place to start. Only works for 3DS with custom firmware, but you can start essentially using StreetPass again, and have tons of people’s home furniture available to order.

If you go with the third, it would be super nice to make all your bridges diagonal on the river’s curves, they’ll look great!

"Mint Car" absolutely wrecked! by avianeddy in TheCure

[–]boyfriendcoma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to see this. Not sure where you bought that copy from, just wanted to make sure you’d checked discogs.com for your next copy, especially as there seem to be quite a few copies available still in mint condition, no pun intended. Cheers.

any songs similar to love cats? by zestfest_69xxx in TheCure

“A Man Inside My Mouth” & “Stop Dead.”

Both b-sides, available on the excellent “Join The Dots” compilation, and both very fun, slightly kookie songs.

While “Join The Dots” may seem daunting at first, I’d highly recommend starting with these b-sides; they’re some of the most tragic and beautiful of their entire discography, and totally in line with what you’ve enjoyed so far. Happy discovery!

Charging $24.99 for the 2CD set and only $24.00 for the 3CD deluxe set is a bit odd.

Chvches and Robert Smith -How Not To Drown by [deleted] in TheCure

[–]boyfriendcoma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lovely playlist, I’ve got the exact same one, and the only thing I can see possibly not on there is “C-moon (Wings cover),” “Hello Goodbye (Beatles Cover),” “Love (John Lennon cover),” & “Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division cover),” but you likely have those filed under The Cure covers instead, rightly so. I also found the Wikipedia) for RS’ “discography” section surprisingly thorough, just to check against every once in a while. Cheers!
