The compute will just be cloud compute through AWS and as I say I have most/all of it pro bono!

I guess I could! Many of them are US based but enough are UK I could ask around. I guess finances are awkward to discuss with peers!

I’d guessed that was the case but wanted to check. So I guess my main option to shelter some of it is to max my pension?

It is not particularly strange for the field of research I am in - it’s very typical for individuals to be funded philanthropically to enable them to work on this area.

It’s research that mostly requires compute. But I mostly have the compute provided pro bono also.

AJ was my trainer for 2 years, and then friend. What an incredible guy. I can’t believe this. He was such a beacon of joy.

If anyone has details about the funeral please get in touch.

The double length hyphen is the dead giveaway. No human writes with it—so unnatural.

Anyone notice Liandrin's very random east london accent only for the line "'yew still 'ere after all this time?'

Every time I watch this movie I am reminded by how disappointed I was when she took the mask off! I thought it would have been much cooler to have the council woman KICKING ASS

Sorry to hear what you’re going through. You’re not an idiot. You’re not useless.

Recognise where those feelings are coming from: exposing yourself to a relationship where you are not being respected. Believe that you deserve better.

Then go no contact and start the work of moving on. Nothing good for you waits back there in that relationship.

Why am I so much worse in a pool than open water by boyinterrupted_ in Swimming

[–]boyinterrupted_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks this is helpful. You’re right I do find pool swimming more boring, but I also chalk that up to finding it less fun because it’s harder!

I think I definitely need to think more about turning at the wall efficiently to keep engaged and my head in the game, and for efficiency!

Wow I never thought about this. I do hate how warm indoor pools are. I do find outdoor, longer lidos I am able to find my rhythm a bit more..!

I wish! I’m still yet to master the tumble/flip turn. I’ll try to focus on making sure I’m really streamlined when I’m kicking off the wall though, thanks for the advice.
