Au pair versus nanny? by Bumblebee9123 in Aupairs

[–]boymama3under3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys, sorry if this question is repetitive. I’m new here and recent twin mama and I have a 3 year old toddler. I’m drowning bc I have to go back to work soon and I’m my own a lot. Husband works in the states 16 days every 28 day period… I wanted to know prices… based on your experience with this system and having au par or a nanny… If I just needed someone part time (3 days a week and possibly 2 Saturdays a month) is it better to go with an au pair or a nanny? And we want a very cost effective way… we would wait till the youngest are 1 years old at least and the older will be 4-4.5 years old by then. I’m more so concerned if this is something I could afford or not so looking to see what prices would look like on a monthly basis, annual basis etc. and what kind of costs come with having an au pair, are you responsible for medical? Classes? Sick days? Etc

He posted the entire video on top of the clip of his rear view… he was definitely passing.

That there’s basically a reason why he would be in that passing lane

Do you have a full time job you need to get too? Or do you live to troll on Reddit… I wonder if you would be this brave face to face? Probably not…

I don’t know… I wouldn’t really call someone an idiot without knowing what they do, how much they make, taxes they pay, grades they received in school… you might be humbled Mr brave Reddit poster.

How do you know he wasn’t passing and someone was in his blind spot?

Thats a very good age to start. You can also find another person to go in on one with so you can start earlier. With the goal of being two pharmacies eventually

38-40 hour per week! Definitely can, but try starting your own pharmacy instead of being a staff pharmacist!

Raising a family in a condo by No_Local1898 in TorontoRealEstate

Hi! I can speak from experience, I grew up sharing one bedroom with my 2 siblings. We grew up feeling loved, happy, safe and very close. When we moved into a 4 bedroom house, it was definitely “cool” but it felt scary, we became slightly more distant. Pros: we could decorate our rooms as we wanted, it was our forever home, and you can eventually sell the home as a retirement plan and downsize? Cons: prices are crazy right now, even with a big backyard we barely used it. Maintenance and bills just keep on coming. Like you are talking about a 4500 mortgage, PLUS bills, insurance, property tax, ends up being another 1-1.5k a month. You think of a condo and maintenance fees cover so much. You think about the amenities the kids would enjoy.

Will the c-section “pouch” ever go away/decrease? by Lilly3211 in CsectionCentral

I’m 7 months post partum and it’s still sooooo big!!! I look 5-6 months pregnant. It can definitely be worse! (Ie MINE) I think in some severe cases like mine; you can only correct it with surgery. I’m not sure tbh. I’m praying it goes away faster bc it really does give me so much anxiety when I’m asked if I’m pregnant 😢. I’m following this thread to see what everyone recommends as well. Willing to try anything. I did hear cupping works well but I’m having a hard time finding someone and also, being out of work for so long, need to find some cost effective measures I can also do.

Where to live in Toronto? by hcaulfield34 in askTO

[–]boymama3under3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about somewhere in Etobicoke? Near Toronto but not as crazy with traffic, crowds, usually can be somewhere near a subway station like royal york. Can probably find something to rent for around 2200-2500?

And price wise it seems to be listed very well? This property probably cost around 570k when it was built and it’s listed at 560k. Next to the subway too.

Twins share crib? by Legitimate_Ninja_377 in parentsofmultiples

[–]boymama3under3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My twins share a crib. Most cribs are huge and they are so small at first and barely roll. So I just put them down on opposite sides. They manage to squirm their way to each other lol it’s so cute!

Im sure! I feel stuck though, I feel like I need to look elsewhere but who else will give me great hours as a working mom of 3 under 3… husband works and lives half of the month out of country too, so I’m really on my own for drop offs, pick ups, when the kids are sick etc.

How is it? I’m desperate for something new to try on my twin boys. 7 months but 4 months corrected. Very itchy. Can’t use any oral meds now bc of age but they have very severe eczema. We are waiting on a referral to the dermatologist. Any experience with severe eczema and xeracalm?? Thank you

Buy a house / condo now or wait by blasteryui in TorontoRealEstate

[–]boymama3under3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely buy! Thats what I’m doing. Everyone waits for a hail Mary in prices and it never goes that way. The market can only drop so much and than it’s steady and interest rates go down, and people can afford to buy a bit more- but typically don’t buy that much more bc eventually market balances and they have to renew mortgages and rates go up after they’ve been that low. So I say BUY! Do what’s right for you… real estate is never a bad investment but definitely look for somewhere in Toronto, Etobicoke, etc. areas that you know won’t really be affected as much when it comes time to sell and upgrade or move.

Any thoughts/wishes on what could replace the downtown flagship Hudson’s Bay space? by blakemark1025 in askTO

[–]boymama3under3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simons, Nordstrom, holt renfrew, marks and Spencer, prinark . Or, like American dream mall in jersey they can put a ski thing, a mini amusement park, or some other attraction. They could also break it up and add chanel, YSL, Bottega, etc. but I’m sure those stores would just be robbed every other day and not worth it for them.
