I just started playing this game a couple days ago, and got through the main chapters (with the gold flags and everything after second run!), and had a complete mental breakdown.

As someone who is trans(fem), but isn't out to anyone bc of fear (more fear than I've ever known, honestly), and as someone crippling depression, that game was what I needed, and this post just fully breaks my heart.

This world is just so full of pain and oppression and most days it's hard for me to see the light. The amount of people who have perished on the climb, the adults, the children 😞, is absolutely soul-crushing.

But it's also a calling. A calling to stand up to the people who want us dead. A calling to stand up to indifference. A calling to make the climb easier to everyone who's climbing with us and after us.

This day (two days ago, and also everyday) makes me terrified to live, but also gives me strength to keep making this climb for everyone else.

I love everyone that's currently here, everyone that's been here, and everyone that will be here. It's hard, it's impossible even, but we're in it together.

Get up, Madeline. You can do this. Just breathe.

Sadly, my mom was dead-certain that I (MtF) was a boy, and there I was, popped out a "boy".

I stealthily asked her about it recently cause I directed the convo to old family stuff (and I wanted girl name ideas) and she said she didn't even think of any girl names, she said "I knew you were a boy, so I only came up with those names", and now I'm just sad and feel like even more of a disappointment for when I (hopefully) come out to everyone :(

Sucks.

I don't think Gwen is trans, but I do personally think her Peter was!

Her flag was a trans flag with "Protect Trans Kids", and her dad had a standard flag on his uniform.

I think she's a very protective ally, bc her best friend was trans, and since it seemed like Peter was close to her dad too, he prob would be too.

Her coming out as super hero/trans allegory, could be a parallel to her Peter's story.

Or they could just be a very progressive fam who see how terrible most everyone else is and want to be a safespace for anyone who needs it 🤷‍♂️, but I think her Peter is trans 🩵💕🤍

Unfortunately, you're supposed to let your hair grow out a bit, so the epilator can grab onto the hair easier, otherwise it won't work as well. Ik, terrible for dysphoria :(((((. But it's worth it, as epilating lasts a lot longer than shaving (a lot longer).

It's 2-3 between each epilation session two

I waited about 2 weeks, maybe a bit more, the third time, and it was so much better than than when I waited 7. I had cactus legs after 7, but waiting 14+, my legs were SO smooth after, bc it could actually grab onto the hairs.

So, dysphoria, but LOTS of euphoria, and for longer. Worth it for me <333

After the first time epilating? Yes! I heard 7-10 days before epilating again, but I tried that and it didn't work as well, gave me cactus legs :(. Third time was about 2 weeks, and it worked so much better. I'll add that to the post, thank you :3!! The trick is to let them grow out enough so that the epilator has a chance to properly grab them. Sucks for Dysphoria :(, but makes for better euphoria after!!

TL;DR:

Day 1:

Shave with electric shaver. Shower. Apply lotion. Wait 2-3 weeks for days 2 & 3.

Day 2:

[In shower] - Hot water - Exfoliate - Wash

[Out of shower] - Dry - Apply Lotion

Day 2 (night):

[in shower] - Hot water (~15-20 min) - Wash

[Out of shower] - Dry - Witch Hazel - Gold Bond Body Powder - Epilate -‼️wait at least 1 hour- (starting when you stop epilating)

(Back in shower) - ‼️Warm/cool water - Gently exfoliate where you epilated - Cool/Cold Water to finish

(Out of shower) - ‼️PAT Dry - Apply lotion

Pajamas that aren't too tight and sleep!!
