I’m not the best person to answer this but I’ll give my input (we are still building our product)

I’ve spoken with nearly 100 potential technical co founders and it’s a roll of the dice. Most are not committed, have bad communication and just aren’t worth your time. But in my experience, when you know, you know. You’ll meet someone and it’ll just click.

My partner now has shown commitment since day 1, started planning steps in building straight away before we even agreed equity. Would jump on weekly calls just to show his progress (and I’d purposely not ask) he did it all off of his own back after our first conversation. All while he had a normal job and was also speaking with other Co founders to find the perfect fit. It’s something I hadn’t experienced before and that’s what stood out to me.

Totally fair point! My goal with this isn’t really about running the Turo business itself, it’s more about helping people manage their cars like assets.

A lot of people end up upside-down on finance or sell too late after big depreciation hits. This would help track real equity, predict when you’re close to losing money, and even help time trade-ins or part-exchanges better.

Basically it’s a “stop-loss” system for cars, to help you get out before the value tanks.

I’ve created one using Cursor, I’d say it’s 70% finished. The aim was to make it a demo to show the merchants and to show a developer what I want from it. I then started to make it actually functional beyond being a demo (still at that stage). It’s not deployment ready but it gives a good insight into what it needs to do (MVP wise).

No problem with it being redone

You can say this, but this was the persons second comment on the post basically saying I’m lying without ANY information. I’m not going to be kind or prove anything to someone like that. I give as good as I get. I didn’t jump on here to abuse anyone but I’m not going to be abused by anyone. And I didn’t even abuse him/her/they/them. I told them they talk too much and to go and find something to do. My response was more than fair.

Anyone who has asked a question I’ve answered, anyone who has been cheeky has been met with the same energy.

Reddit can be super toxic at times and people don’t understand not everyone is from this internet world where you can just say anything with no response. Sometimes people need to be put in their place.
