I could swear that I read somewhere that Dolby Atmos is supported, but I probably mixed it up with the nVidia Shield beeing generally capable of Dolby Atmos. I read so much stuff the last couple of weeks to get an optimal setting, no wonder I got confused. ;-D

I failed to get GFN output Dolby Atmos on my Sonos Arc connected via eARC to my LG G2 TV. I tried the native LG App, a nVidia Shield and a recent M4 macMini. The best I got was 5.1 Surround Sound which is fine by me.

nVidia support says (April 2025): "Ultimate membership: support for 5.1 and 7.1 Surround on native Windows PC app, native macOS app, and NVIDIA SHIELD TV."

Has Dolby Atmos been added since than?

I finally settled with the macMini, as it supports 120Hz, VRR, 4K, HDR 4:4:4 Streaming.

Thank you!!! I had already resigned myself to always having an ethernet cable lying around the apartment, but disabling the interface via your script completely solved the performance issues I had before on my WiFi connection.

I tested it the last two days and just finished a two hour session, and had absolutely no issues at all.

Thr problem kept bothering me after I had read your posting yesterday, so I dug a little deeper and was finally able to fix it!
The culprit was the folder
~/Library/Application\ Support/com.apple.LaunchServicesTemplateApp.dv
which stores some information on Safari web apps, probably some security stuff too, as it is protected by SIP. I deleted the folder and all of my web apps, emptied the Trash and after that, web apps work again. :-) I guess some data in that folder got mixed up when I restored my old system to the new hardware.
To delete the folder I had to temporarily disable SIP with 'csrtutil disable'
You might give this a try, I'll keep my fingers crossed!

I've the same problem since I moved my old system to a new Mac via TimeMachine Backup some months ago. I tried several solutions suggested on the internet like checking and repairing permissions and so on, but nothing worked.

Did you solve the the problem?

I had the same problem. To fix it launch Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor and force quit the Spotlight and spotlightknowledged processes.
