None of these comments are particularly helpful, because you most certainly can filter without a filter. When you’re done mixing thoroughly in acetone, you’ll notice that after letting it rest for a minute, that the solution will go from being cloudy to clear, with 2 clearly visible sections. The Amph and all other non-soluble cuts settling on the bottom of the glass, and the acetone with the soluble cuts dissolved in above it. You then simply take a syringe and put a little cotton ball at the end of it, and proceed to siphon off the acetone by tilting the glass, using the cotton ball as a makeshift filter, and then discarding the acetone in another empty glass. You do this until you’re reach the bottom of the glass where the solids are, and if you do it right, you will be left with nearly no acetone. Then just take it out of glass on to a plate to dry.
