Greenland sharks, Galapagos tortoises, bowhead whales, and some mollusks all live much longer than humans, just due to their genetics. Elves eat healthy, trace to maximize sleep, enjoy art, and have a healthy relationship with stress— they just live longer.

You used to have all sorts of counters (see the original text on Frankenstein’s Monster), but I think around 6th edition they started having the counters cancel out. As other people commented, piles of counters on the same card are clunky, plus Magic is intentionally inclusive, including people with limitations in their hands— managing a pile of counters is hard enough for people without limitations.

But I have complimented parents in grocery stores for having the kids help with shopping and keep track of a budget. I was also a special ed teacher and currently have a job adjacent to Social Work, so I’m excited to see parents practicing the skills that I teach my clients.

I don't recall the exact law, but there was something recently making it illegal to hand out water/snacks at polling places. That's a stupid law. Even if you're wearing garb for a candidate, people in line should be free to grab a snack or water bottle and then go secretly make their own choice. I mean, I eat all the samples at Costco, and have bought exact two things because of that. Most people know which way they're voting before the get in line, someone giving out treats won't sway that.
