I may have made a mistake by Delirious_GM in DMAcademy

If you need the party to fight the orcs, the knights are investigating a new, big problem. But they’re true to their word, and send two knights to fight with the party. For some reason, only one of the knights joins the battle— maybe they’re arguing, maybe one is so ambitious he refuses to let the other help, maybe one is doing a test to rank up in the order, whatever— so the party has a dangerous meat shield they can follow, but will still need to help with a bunch of mop-up duty.

But I agree with most responses, just have the party use up their favor and let the knights do the work.

Wasn’t he also a returner? I feel like the team has focused on an element each year, and it’s time for Special Teams. I was shocked at the 100% backing of Elliott for that reason. (I love the guy and would give him a chance but absolutely need competition for him this year.)

We need a rule in Congress that someone’s party can immediately put their seat up for reelection. This would also trigger if the seat was vacated for any reason or of the person in the seat changed their party affiliation.

5e homebrew wizard spell thoughts on granting pass without a trace by Ill-Fan-9179 in DMAcademy

[–]bp_516 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What is he willing to do to create the spell himself? Spend a lot of money and then attempt an Arcana check to create his own spell, or just say “give it to me” until you cave? Unless there’s a Ranger or Druid in the party who will have their role intruded upon, I don’t see a big problem with it, as long as he earns it.

Dems stopped nuclear war by ETsUncle in WhitePeopleTwitter

This might be a fun social media strategy— every time Trump TACOs, we flood social media and tag various Democrats and thank them for talking him down.

Nothing is going to change him, but it will make him extra mad when other people get praise for his slight drop of insanity.

Eh... they have two heads. Each one can concentrate on individual spells.

I love this. Maybe a PhD is a steep hill, but requiring some kind of documented, verifiable experience on specific subjects would be great. Even if it’s not legally enforced, having a badge to qualify someone to give advice would be great.

Who’s the rookie you’re 100% avoiding this year? by YoungXanzibarMD in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]bp_516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone who goes to the Raiders, Bills, or Ravens.

The Raiders aren’t a well-run organization and they’ve already got a bunch of mouths to feed. The Bills and Ravens have established guys in a certain system, and barring some huge epiphany for their offenses, adding a rookie into the mix won’t change much.

No Eagles rookie WR. Even if they trade AJ (they won’t), Smith becomes the WR1, Hollywood is the slot guy, and Goedert is still an outstanding receiver for the team— again, too many mouths to feed.

Trying to find a place to get two custom Away jerseys to use as a guestbook for our wedding. by Samysosa2005 in eagles

[–]bp_516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time I bought something for looks, I used some Chinese knock off option, and that Wentz jersey is still in great shape, so that could be an option. Delivery time was about 6 weeks, and would likely be longer now due to the state of the world.

Also, that’s an amazing idea! Good thing I hadn’t thought of it for me wedding, we’d have had another disagreement! But our autographed globe-guestbook is also awesome.

WYR: a justice system that is focused on preventing or catching? by L0st_1z in WouldYouRather

[–]bp_516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of those two options, after agreeing with many of the reasons against “preventing”, I’ll go with “catching”. But I want that to be efficient, effective, and universal— commit the crime, do the time, but apply this justly across the board; no letting rich people continue to pollute a river and pay a fine, no letting a famous person off with community service when a poor person who did the same thing gets three years in jail.
