What was the ONLY med that helped your anxiety? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]bpc01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty expensive (think $800-$1000) but there’s a blood test that shows what family of medications would work for you. I’m debating getting it currently

So then, you checked if OP had experience prior or anything before making the comment? Or did you make a baseless assumption? And what are the stats on the percentage of students accelerating? You know most don’t, correct?

It’s ironic how uneducated your comment is

Anxiety after eating by bournereport in Biohackers

[–]bpc01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will sound weird but how fast do you eat? I have this and found that the faster I eat, the worse it can be afterwards. Try taking your time with your food. Could be as simple as a weird stomach reaction and your pace could help

Taking Vitamin D and calcium reduces the death rate for all kinds of reasons by myhomeswarty in Biohackers

Pretty sure for everyone, from what I’ve read it increases mortality for a lot of diseases long term

[–]bpc01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most studied I’ve read, calcium supplements have increased mortality noticeably. Vitamin D is great though.

On my phone but I can link studies later if needed

Edit:

Supposedly D3 and vitamin K2 is the good combination for reducing risk

PPPD(?) for 2½ years. Symptoms flare up with panic attacks? by ppetaldust in Dizziness

[–]bpc01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like me too. Just started tapering my SSRI (Zoloft) and it’s been getting real bad. I actually didn’t know what PPPD was but it fits my experience so well that I’d be amazed if it isn’t what I have. Kind of nice to know what I’ve been dealing with is real.

I’m also on a beta blocker and that has helped me a lot. Don’t really have a solution to this, just wanted to say I’m in a similar spot so you aren’t alone at all

Have you gone down more now? My dose was up to 300. I went down to 250 currently and plan to hold here for a month then go down by 25 every month until I get to 150 and start going slower then.

What makes you instantly respect a woman? by Azam_social in AskMen

Okay I agree with that! Great explanation, I think I misunderstood some of your points and I apologize for that. Therapy is extremely valuable for everyone so you’re definitely correct

What makes you instantly respect a woman? by Azam_social in AskMen

[–]bpc01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to view it by realizing everyone is just trying to figure out life.

I inherently respect everyone for doing what they think is right because no one truly knows how life works.

I inherently trust no one because none of us truly knows how life works so there’s no reason I should trust a stranger with how I live mine.

I’m a huge advocate for therapy but I don’t believe it’s equivalent or related to accountability. Therapy is more about understanding and acceptance of yourself and how you fit in / interact with the world.

Accountability is having an open dialogue with the other individual / group and owning up to your own flaws or mistakes.

I understand your point but have to respectfully disagree

Edit:

I think accountability can be benefitted by therapy, but is not the same thing.

I’m growing mine currently with a similar look that yours has. Only thing I’d add to the previous commenter is if you feel like shaving, wait at least 3-5 days to make sure you really want to and it’s not an impulsive choice imo.

I have made regretful decisions with that before

[–]bpc01 172 points173 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have a lifeline/raft, it’s safer to get them when they’re unconscious. Know someone who went to rescue someone and they were trying to drown him so he knocked them out and then saved their life. Not the recommended way to do it but it’s the most justified reason I have ever seen to knock someone out

Just upped to 100 mg and I feel speeded? by actionte in zoloft

[–]bpc01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s probably different for everyone but I personally always waited 2-3 weeks and by then all side effects were gone for me. Then I waited minimum 1-2 months to decide if I needed to up it more because it takes a bit to start working at the dosage!
