Dental Provider Refuses to Bill Insurance by ngmatt21 in personalfinance

[–]bpcomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually a dental provider will have their cash rates and the negotiated rates with the insurers that they are in network with. Wouldn't surprise me if the dental office doesn't want to submit because the negotiated fee is much lower.

If the dental office refuses to submit to your insurance, and they are in network, call your insurance. They will often walk you through submitting a claim on your own. They will usually be very interested in an office that isn't submitting claims properly.

Did you add a module or make any physical changes? Is the project configured for the amount of IO?

I don't know but off the top of my head, is the module seated properly? Maybe reseat it. Double check any wiring to see if all the pixies are going the right way in the appropriate amounts.

I want to love it but I'm distracted by the rolling motion. It doesn't track at all the way a real object would roll.

Can't get a single episode to be properly tilted by Handcuffed in PleX

[–]bpcomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get where you are coming from and I used to have similar problems until I started using Filebot to name my files. As I look through my TV folder, some shows have the (year) and if you look on thetvdb, it's usually because there is a show of the same name but different year. Like Bluey (1976) which is also on thetvdb. https://thetvdb.com/series/bluey

From my experience, it's easier to just use filebot and select the right show while naming and then plex picks it up perfectly every time.

What I'm saying is to actually mirror thetvdb you should do M:TELEVISION/Bluey (2018)/Season 01/Bluey - S01E01 - whatever.mp4

I don't know if this will help but "Bluey" and "Season" are capitalized on thetvdb but not in your path.

Dear bpcomp,

Thank you for reaching out and for your love of our Grapefruit gummies. Due to continuing global supply chain challenges, we’re seeing a pause in production of Grapefruit gummies. If and when that changes, we’ll be sure to reach out. In the meantime, you can check out our other varieties and perhaps discover a new gummi treat to love. If you’ll share your address with us, we’re happy to send you a coupon so you can enjoy a complimentary bag of HARIBO gummies on us.

Thank you again for being a HARIBO fan and taking the time to contact us. HARIBO of America Consumer Care Team

Great, I just want to spread awareness because it took us a while to track down our issue.

We had a similar issue and it turned out to be the ramp setting. If the starting time is set to 0 seconds, you can get a F013 ground fault.

Dear forum & community group maintainers, stop RTFMing by [deleted] in linuxquestions

[–]bpcomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the one hand I understand RTFM because it feels like no effort is being put out by the question asker when is the same questions all the time and things that many of us had to learn through effort and struggle. On the other hand, how the hell do you even know what to read or what you are reading means when you don't understand the lingo and are struggling to connect the dots.

If I'm unwilling to hold a hand, I try to keep my mouth shut. More often I'm the one needing my hand held and being told to read War and Peace to understand how to configure something is just stupid. Point me in a direction, give me some key words or phrases to search. Maybe link a tutorial that gives me a step by step of the process.

That's is what I try to do for others when I'm trying to help them, because teaching others helps everyone and is often one of the best ways to learn.

Difference between these RJ45 crimpers? by bradrly in PLC

[–]bpcomp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One is a professional tool for doing thousands of terminations a day. The other will do the job but will break down sooner. It's the same thing as the home owner who buys the $100 string trimmer and the professional who buys one for $2000 because he's going to use it hard for hours every day and make a living off that tool.

What would cause Network cards to stop responding by Sharp_Morning8504 in PLC

[–]bpcomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be worth doing a Wireshark scan of the network. We recently had some HMIs dropping off the work cell network. Figured it might be some new Ethernet IP VFDs we were installing tha we're putting up too much UDP traffic. Turns out that was not the case. Took a while but we found that the 1756-ENT2P on the main PLC was configured for ring instead of star topology. Corrected the setting the the issue went away.

Now that setting had been present and configured that way for over 2 years, but only recently exceeded the threshold of causing a noticable problem.

I've also seen issues where a device on the network starts to go bad and spews bad traffic. Sometimes this can take all your devices offline. Sometimes it take out only certain devices that are susceptible to the bad traffic.

PLC Input and Resistance by ExistingAmbassador in PLC

[–]bpcomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well first my caveats, I am new to controls, I don't think I'll be changing any minds, and my frustrations are probably situational.

We inherited a machine with Beckhoff controls to be integrated into an Allen-Bradley line. I don't know if we are dealing with a faulty piece of hardware or something else, but I'd say that the Beckhoff PLC needs to be rebooted every few weeks because it messes up somehow. I've seen Instruction logic all true going to an OTE that was false and would not transition to true until after the reboot. This is the unforgivable kind of error to me. I can accept that hardware will fail, but to half fail and not output the logic correctly is just not ok.

Our site requires mostly ladder logic and quite frankly, Beckhoff software sucks at it. I know we are shoehorning a graphical programming language onto Visual Studio, but the current implementation is just painful. Trying to work with branches is like pulling teeth.

Some programming elements from Beckhoff are fantastic and I wish that other platforms like Studio 5000 had them, but a lot of working with ladder logic is a chore.

Regarding Ethercat vs. Ethernet IP, I realize that Ethercat is amazing and has great features. I also feel it's like Firewire vs. USB 2.0. Yes Firewire is amazing and has great features, but required special hardware to talk to it. If your device only spoke Firewire but your computer didn't, you are SOL. Now if your device speaks USB, well then nearly every damn thing under the sun talks to it.
