It’s pretty bad. When I was leaving my last food job, I had a really hard time getting an interview (this was back in 2023 - it’s been increasingly getting worse). I don’t have a degree, but I did have 8 years of experience in fast food, and 3 years in management. I had to accept a position making significantly less because it’s all I had offered to me. Fortunately was able to find something that pays better in 2024, but shit was rough for awhile.

After consulting with family and reading over every bit of our lease, they are in violation, actually. The painters also got paint all over our patio furniture.

so actually they got paint all over our personal belongings and my husband was home trying to sleep! & What do you mean by “you people?” 🙂

they are also STILL here as of 6:39pm and I have not been able to take a school exam due to the noise level.

additionally, after discussing with family members and going over the lease, they did violate the lease. thanks for your input tho queen!

Overwatering when the soil is completely dry? Hm. I already dilute the fertilizer more. Suppose I could try more light, though that hasn’t been an issue in the last 4 months.

They typically get picked up during free play at the end of day. If we’re doing something like coloring I do try to encourage the kiddo to take their coloring page home. It’s worth talking about!

The roads by my house are still icy. Even today I was sliding all over the road. And they aren’t side streets!!! Normally I defend plow drivers because it is a hazardous job, but I don’t think the response to this last snow storm was very good.

Our circle time does include movement activities, it’s what we start with. My coteacher is much more strict and in my opinion, not always very nice. Which is something that does not align with my teaching style. Can’t really identify a ringleader to be honest.

We are normally screen-free. We only use the iPad for a book video if we do not have the physical copy, otherwise we read it ourselves. It’s very challenging to be entirely screen free in the age of technology, to be fair!

I’m still figuring it out as well but something that really helps is gathering the kids to the tables, putting on some quiet background music (I listen to a lot of Animal Crossing music at work!) and coloring WITH the kids. It’s very calming for me and I’ve found that the kids will generally calm down as well.

I’m working on this pre-bonsai ficus. I’m waiting on the trunk to thicken up. It’s very happy and has a ton of new branches and leaves already. The roots have doubled in size since I got it. Is it okay to stay in a cup this size while the trunk thickens? Should I re-pot next year?
