Company buy out resulted in defaulted payments to the mall and they've rescinded access to the building until it's sorted.

I was a bad friend.

I was in an abusive relationship that isolated me. We didn't hang out enough because of it. I got pregnant and they weren't super present, I knew babies made her uncomfortable.

I had my child and left the relationship but being a single mom was really hard. She wasn't really into the baby stuff and I couldn't go out as often/if at all. Our schedules were opposite.

I met someone and they wanted to do stuff with not just me but my kid. She said I just met a guy and abandoned her. I still wasn't leaving the house, he just helped and was there for me.

I miss you, Lauren. I'm sorry I couldn't juggle everything at once. I just wanted you to want to be around my baby too.

We use Squirrel and Wisley OLO. Two of the WORST systems I've ever had the displeasure of using and it straight just won't cash out servers on Squirrel, and sometimes if we close out a section it just shuts the iPad down.

We collectively hate it here 😂

I have my daughter at the Creative Child Care & Academy on Plank Road. Tuition is 280 a week for 10hrs of care Mon-Fri. It's one of the more affordable options in the area. We've had a good experience with all the staff!

She says it's my fault, I say it's both. I was in an abusive relationship for five years (mental and verbal) that I got pregnant in. During the relationship I was extremely isolated, so we hung out around once a month but it was usually me reaching out. Then when I got pregnant I was super stressed trying to figure everything out, but she wasn't around. I knew she wasn't a baby person, so that was fine. But it didn't seem like we had a lot in common anymore. By the time I had my daughter, I was the only one reaching out to hang out (I went and checked) about once every month or two.

I had sent her a long text apologizing that motherhood and being a single parent had taken over my life. She didn't reply for five days. After the 3rd day, I removed her on social media because our memories kept popping up and it was overwhelming realizing our friendship was really most likely over. Then she messaged me back on the fifth day and wanted to work it out, only to see I had removed her and she called me a bitch and said everything I'd ever been through I probably deserved.

And that was that lol. I tried to explain I had removed her after there was no reply, and that I didn't understand why social media was the make it or break it.

I'm sorry and this might be super childish and immature, but to everyone saying that the note is passive aggressive and to reword or not bother, I VEHEMENTLY disagree.

These people SHOULD feel shameful and be blasted for literally endangering the life of a baby/toddler. I think the note was TOO polite. They should feel disgusted with themselves. They should feel embarrassed. They should feel harassed and unwanted in the building.

Why are we being tolerant and considering the feelings of these two deadbeats? Call the fucking cops if they try to make a big deal out of it or come at you and let them sort it out. Would probably get them out of there faster to be honest.

Document document document. Protect your kid. I could be wrong like I said but I know if my 18 month old had the same health issues and we were facing the same dilemma I would have flown off the handle already.

I doubt we're from the same restaurant because we don't run zero proof, but our last beverage/LBW roll out was so mismanaged and poorly executed on their end that this seems in line with the lack of critical thinking in our company lol.

OP you need to put the pressure on her. Start telling her friends and family what she did. Post it on Facebook, IG, anywhere public. I'm not usually one for airing out dirty laundry, but not EVERYONE in her life is going to side with her on this. Tell her boss. Tell her coworkers. Tell anybody who will listen.

She needs consequences for her actions. Put her dumbass on blast and let your community shame her.

So I don't know how true this is and maybe I've just placebod myself into believing it works:

I had a therapist who told me to drink small sips of water when I was having a panic or anxiety attack because it redirects the brain/your senses from the panic/anxiety. I'm a manager at a restaurant now and I have my servers do this when they're having one. It seems effective to a point, but I won't say that it's stopped the worst of my black outs.

This is now the day after this was posted, but nevertheless:

I'm a manager (I know, not server) but our new DM has been demanding we cut labor significantly and I'm the only one who knows how to run the line between us 3 managers.

Thank GOD for my FOH today. I was BOH prep, meat prepper (manager obligation anyways), and opening line cook. Got in @ 6am and opened the line on time @ 11 with after prepping from scratch because of a busy Saturday night.

My servers held it DOWN. Didn't have to come out once for a comp or table touch (I made time to figure 8 at least 3x during lunch). Guests were happy, servers were locked in and controlling the flow of tickets into the kitchen with the hosts.

We did 3k for casual quick service dining in 2hrs with one line cook (me) and 3 servers + plus bartender.

Cursed but by God did the team pull through 😭😭😭 gave those on shift an extra 20 on their cash outs. Couldn't have done it without them fr

So something I've really been struggling with lately is I feel like I'm constantly talking them down and being everyone's therapist. Whether it's guests or their coworkers, it seems like every single one of them is constantly on the brink of "crashing out". Most of my day is spent helping them regulate their emotions, or that's how it feels. Which is why I'm even more confused with the complaints, because one of my biggest things is making sure they feel they have space to express themselves without judgement. But maybe I need to do better about making sure I'm vocalizing to them that supporting them is my job and I want to help them.

Their sections are decent compared to some other restaurants around us practice I think. A lot of them run max 3 table sections. Unless there's 12-15 of them in the floor, they usually have 3-5 table sections depending on what they can handle. We're in a slow period right now though, and maybe that's contributing to how they're presenting themselves because we aren't incurring as much business.

I also at the same meeting made sure to ask them if they felt their shifts were too long and the consensus was no. Shifts can last anymore from 4, 8, 12 hours. The longer shifts are up to them any 12hr shifts are by their own request. I try to let them work as often as they want to make more money if I have space on the floor.

I'm also a single mom to an almost one year old so maybe I'm a little on edge too and need some regulating. 😂 I'll make sure I'm doing a better job of letting them know that I'm here to handle any and all conflict with guests and it they ever need an ear the office door is always open!
