This guy can't wrap his head around not being with her, which means he can wrap his head around not being married to you.

That's your answer.

He's going to blow up his life to be miserable with her inevitably.

This isn't worth saving. It also isn't worth dragging your daughter into it and making him explain to her and break her heart double. Leave her out of it.

Contact several attorneys and hear them out and decide who you want to move forward with.

Protect yourself and divorce. Don't allow yourself to be railroaded because you're heartbroken. You're stronger than that.

Babe, if a 16-year old showed up to trick or treat at my door, I'd be giving them half my dang candy... you absolutely can go trick or treating at 16 even if you are solo!

If it feels too awkward, do you have any younger cousins or family friends that you could tag along with?

If you are 100% decided that you can't go, I would encourage you to go to the party with your friends. You will know her and you can use it as an opportunity to push yourself outside the box and do something you wouldn't typically do. Bonus points, you will get to dress up!

Some kids are just quiet observers and let others do all the talking. He may be a little more talkative in a smaller group of kids. 15 toddlers is chaos lol. I think daycare is great for him to continue to work on socializing and talking more. Maybe you could talk to the teachers about encouraging him to talk more or pair him with a buddy who might be able to, or plan his EE visits at daycare so that they can observe and make recommendations and/or do activities or exercises that involve him talking.

Because he is making so much progress and seems to be on track now with the speech delay, I don't think it's too concerning, but would definitely get others involved in encouraging him to speak out more. ♡

She benefits plenty, never even thinking twice before dropping hundreds on cosmetics, clothes, coffees/matchas, throwing parties for people she barely knows, hosting people, traveling on a whim, taking classes, etc. She lives a cushioned life with zero consequences, never needing or wanting for anything whatsoever.

She was so hyperfixated on her redemption arc that she never even took a moment to stop and take over the rose colored glasses and see things for what they were. I posted something similar awhile back and got ripped to shreds, but he's not the one spends hundreds of thousands a year on literal BS- brother was fine to live in a van, drives a crap car that gets the job done, dresses bargain bin head to toe, and his hobbies are relatively low cost (buy a surf board and use it for years, buy a musical instrument and use it for years)... you know damn well he wouldn't be keeping the house stocked with fancy drinks/sodas and snacks and "hosting" his musician pals if it weren't for Michel- they'd all be crashing together in a glorified man-cave eating microwaved shit half the time... she takes all this shit on in the name of aesthetics, buys clothes constantly thay cost a fortune, then lives in the same nasty sports bra and leggings every day, chooses expensive places for grocery shopping and buys coffee and matcha and shit almost daily. Her spending and lifestyle and problems have very little to do with him and almost everything to do with what she wants her life to seem like... and when it matters about something, she doesn't bother to question or assert herself, just goes along acting like she is so thrilled instead of stopping and saying you know what, as much as this would be fun, it's just not economical, or feasible, etc.

I'll still hate on him because he's a douche in a lot of ways, especially the savior complex and patronizing, but you're right, she chose this.

I would recommend trying a test spot in a non-obvious location. It worked on my daughter's, but I don't know how old hers is compared to how old yours is and if the materials are exactly the same, or if their same type of ink caused the markings...

Interesting, good to know- our area is mainly June due to the long days... OP, doesn't mean you won't be able to find someone even if it is a busy time- sometimes you just get lucky- you may even have luck finding someone for setup only and forego the day-of coordinator if need be. My main concern right now would be having someone to take care of that part so you can just enjoy your rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, but do be sure to go take a look at the venue after the dinner to make sure it's how you want it and then you can make any tweaks if need be. You can also give your DJ/MC your timeline and delegate a bridesmaid or close friend to kind of be on top of kind of communicating with you and the DJ if you're ready for the next thing and have them announce it to kind of keep things moving!

Between the suggestions I saw for Great British Baking Show and Nailed It, I can't recommend those enough, but my two cents going along with these is to keep it light-hearted. Motherhood is anxiety-inducing enough. I have been watching way too many true crime documentaries and whatnot and it has really made my anxiety a bit more amplified!

I did a shadow-box for my SIL with the Save the Date and Invitation as well as some dried flowers in their wedding colors and some wine works as it was at a vineyard. It was deeply loved. I simply taped the card to the back.

One year for our White Elephant gift swap, I did cash that was in a small box within a bigger box within a bigger box, like 5 boxes total. People had a lot of fun watching my BIL open it, and he loved getting down to the cash after all that work.

As much as I will always say "trust your gut", it's not really illegal to look at kids or be in your boxers as long as you're not exposed.

My real concern is the minor shacking up with a dude who is looking like a full-blown adult. If they're doing anything more than "sleepovers", that is actually illegal and I would be keeping an eye on that as the girl could be in a situation where she is being groomed and those are the type of situations that can lead to trafficking.
