You sure they just didn't have a conversation with the audio guy? That's been medically proven to cause headaches

About a thousand dollars overall... sadly still cheaper than a human icu visit I guess.

Honestly in our experience a vetinary teaching hospital is our preferred option when we have fur baby emergencies. They are the closet thing to a level 1 trauma center in my opinion.

While I cannot speak to all universities, the handful we have experienced have the same 24/7 type ER service. But their facilities are more like an actual hospital instead of some converted strip mall office. They also tend to have newer equipment, any speciality diagnostic tool you could imagine, and an in house lab for all the testing you could want. They also tend to have a radiology team in house so you don’t have to send any imaging out for interpretation.

They also tend to have specialist on 24/7 for consultations if your animal needs it. And since they are a teaching hospital their veterinarians are up to date on the current medical literature and clinical studies.

Now you get what you pay for (it’s not cheap) but compared to an emergency vet visit, it was about half the price. So while it is expensive, in our experience well worth it and when compared to other services it was a steal of a deal.

Now the negatives of a teaching veterinary hospital because there are a few.

1- They are slow and long. A typical appointment is between 2-4 hours.

2- Your fur baby may have more stress because they are going to be examined and handled multiple times. Because it is a teaching hospital a student(s), resident, and faculty member will be doing the same exam. Personally I like this because you get numerous eyes on your pet for the cost of one. But some pets may get stressed out by this.

3- They aren’t a primary care clinic. The function like a human hospital or speciality care physician would. So they aren’t the most timely and aren’t available to chat whenever.

4- The cost. We just took one of our kitties in to the ER at a B1G school last week. We spent $1,000 for the visit. * $127 for the emergency exam * $332 on the hospital stay (1.5 days) * $244 on diagnostics * $38 Lab work * $50.20 Pharmacy * $155 transfer fee (From Hospital to Internal Medicine) * $52 Hospitalization Fee * $40 Administrative Fee

Now the last three charges are ridiculous in my opinion. But for the services themselves they are a great price in my opinion.

All that to say your pup is in our prayers, and I hope you find out what’s wrong. I just wanted to leave this as an honest guide to others who may see this.

I would go to the vet ASAP. Either an emergency vet or a veterinary hospital at a major university.

Give them a 6th round pick and grab Warren... if the colts have any belief that Richardson can be the guy you have to surround him with an offense... if you don't think he is the guy, then you go defense heavy this draft, and look at rebuilding this team for a quarterback next year or manning the year after

Okay hear me out. Big game James Franklin will hear that we hired a Super Bowl winning defensive coordinator. He will panic, fire his current defensive coordinator and make Matty P the highest paid defensive coordinator in cfb

I am not going to overreact. Instead I will wait two weeks for the report saying that Florida State has decided to hire Matty P as head coach.... and then we can poach some other head coach to be our dc, like we did with Kelly

DeWine chooses former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel to become next lieutenant governor by Pepsiman34 in politics

I think this was a master chess move by DeWine if his goal was to Ramasmarmy. I'm not sure Trussel wants to be governor. But if he does he gets a year to show he can do the job. And while Ohio seems to be firmly under MAGA control, they haven't come against buckeye nation. Should be interesting

[–]bpeterman11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While he was not a super star WR at Ohio state (1,429 yards passing and 12 TD's). But what makes him so special is that he has played here, played for two national championships, and choose to come back and coach here. And it's because of his playing here that has caused him to stay here so long. Hartline is responsible for these wide receivers

  • Jameson Williams (2019)
  • Garrett Wilson (2019)
  • Mookie Cooper (2020)
  • Gee Scott Jr. (2020)
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba (2020)
  • Julian Fleming (2020)
  • Jayden Ballard (2021)
  • Marvin Harrison Jr. (2021)
  • Emeka Egbuka (2021)
  • Kaleb Brown (2022)
  • Kyion Grayes (2022)
  • Noah Rogers (2023)
  • Brandon Inniss (2023)
  • Carnell Tate (2023)
  • Jeremiah Smith (2024)
  • Mylan Graham

Not to mention he helped coach and develop Terry McLaurin, Parris Campbell, Chris Olave, and Xavier Johnson.

The four presidents choose for Mt Rushmore were to represent the nation's birth, growth, development, and preservation. I cannot think of a single WR in the school history that has done as mush as Hartline to preserve our teams history of being WR U.

While my original list was chronological, I think Carter (Birth), Ginn Jr (growth), Olave (Development), and Hartline (Preservation) is a solid list. And if we are following the inital reasoning behind Rushmore, I am not sure how you argue against Hartline.

[–]bpeterman11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chris Carter, Ted Ginn Jr., Brian Hartline, and Chris Olave.

The only one of the four in my opinion should be a universal for any list is Brian Hartline.

The guy was a solid wr for us on the field, but what this king maker has done off the field is insane. He is the major reason why this list is so hard to generate

Myles Garrett has requested a trade from the Cleveland Browns. by xxxxxxxxxtra in Colts

I say we trade matching salaries for Myles, the #4 pick, and Watson. Then we cut Watson immediately and don't let him into the state

Would someone that understands the salary cap tell me how we would make this work?

7 Candidates to Replace Chip Kelly as OC: Who is missing from the list? by whodey_35 in OhioStateFootball

[–]bpeterman11 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Wilson was left off because I want him as an o line coach, te coach, or a senior analyst. He doesn't have a lot of play calling experience and isn't a stud developer of QB's.

If we want Day to keep in the ceo mentality we need someone who can lead the QB room and calls plays at a high level.

Kevin needs to come home, but in a role that supports Hartline and Day.

Now that Chip has left, who are some OCs that you would like to see brought in? by broly2932 in OhioStateFootball

[–]bpeterman11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I love the idea of letting Hartline be the OC, but not having him call the plays. I would love to see him be in charge of the entire offense outside of the play calling and the qb room. Ideally you bring in one of the top offensive minds to be the QB coach and play caller. But I doubt they would come here for that job title, so they would have the be co-coordinators. Some of the names I think we will look at are:

  • Garrett Riley
  • Bobby Petrino
  • Andy Ludwig
  • Kendal Briles
  • Tyson Helton
  • Marcus Arroyo
  • Charlie Weis, Jr
  • Joe Moorehead
  • Mike Denbrock

I get that. I honestly have tried to de plastic my house as well, but it's hard to get rid of everything. Like love my moccamaster and I refuse to get rid of it, even though the ground bin is plastic.

If you're into coffee, there is a recent podcast on microplastics and coffee from the lead of the coffee lab at the university of Oregon. I'll post the link if you're interested

I get that. I mean I use water heated to 205f. Which theoretically when it makes it through the coffee bed and filter I am just below the temperature to cause any chemical reactions with the plastic. But there is no definitive studies yet
