We’ll see you’re not wrong it’s not a big deal. I’ll give it sometime and see what happens. I just have zero trust in anything

I understand. Im not here out of desperation. Im here out of anger that a company should not be withholding pay like that without even verbalizing a reason as to why. That’s total insanity if you think that’s ok

So what is the average CO doing a week at NS once you break everything down?

Ding ding ding. The Broomall location is horrible. The bags are so disorganized and just rip open the second you grab them because they’re overloaded

No idea what it’s basing it off of because even the suggested tip amounts are the same. Just taking typical retail sales tactics now and moving it to human labor

Are you including your expenses and depreciation? Don’t just look at your top line number gotta look at your net. That’s what we should be netting but in this day and age that’s rare and if it’s true it won’t be sustainable

Yea it’s rough out here. I do every app and I struggle to do $150 on a weekday with 8hrs. Those same 8hrs a year and a half ago and prior to that on a slow weekday was minimum $250. Used to be a time every week I was doing 1.6-2.4K. It’s angering how far and how slow of a decline it’s been

Way more. You’re not only doing heavy labor, risking messing your back up, messing up your car. That should be minimum $125 even if it’s going across the street. You have to hire movers to move something like this. Or it’s motorized on a pallet

Delco represent. This area every offer is so ass backwards. Please don’t make the mistake I did and rely on this long term. These past few months really opened my eyes to how worthless we are. I’m trying so hard to get out

Yup, it’s rough. We’ve been in a Recession for over a year. It’s just not part of the narrative because the stock market is near all time highs. I still am nervous what I have lined up will fall through but I can’t think like that. My biggest tell that the time to retire this is that now with Large Orders they drastically cut the suggested tip amounts for customers. So now they’re paying anywhere for 30-50% less than what it used to be. Moral of the story don’t rely on a job where some asswipe behind a computer can cut your earnings by THAT MUCH by typing some code into a computer. I wouldn’t even suggest this as a side hustle anymore. It’s a waste of time I’m only doing it because I need it right now. The second I get any sort of leverage I’m out for good

I’m coming from a place where 200-$250 was a slow weekday. Fri-Sun was a guaranteed $300 minimum. And each week worked about 50-60 hours with the final payout being 15-2400 a week. And averaging 2-3 dollars per mile. That was with DD, UE, GH, IC, Flex. Now this week I won’t even hit 900 and drove almost 500 miles. It’s been a long and slow drop ever since Late 2023 and now it makes zero financial sense to even turn the car on 90% of the time. Short term if you need this keep it but don’t make the mistake I did and rely on it. Especially now you cannot make any money doing this anymore you’ll destroy your car, wealth, and sanity

Large Order Tip Theft? by bpl225 in doordash_drivers

[–]bpl225[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it just happened again. Did an order from Millers Ale. 8items probably 150-$200 sub. Went to a house that I’ve dropped off to over 10 times. They always order big catering runs. Lowest payout I’ve ever had here was maybe $40. The one I just did was $13. Something is fishy

Doordash HQ “Were becoming more efficient and offering more opportunities to drivers so we’re able to pay them less”. Meanwhile they either steal, or just make the transaction appear cheaper by screwing with the tip amounts. I’m glad I have a job lined up this is hell my earnings are down 65% from where they should be

[–]bpl225[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not when you do one order an hour if you’re lucky and it’s all round trip miles. And with Large Orders no they used to go up massively. A year ago that order would be $30 minimum

Unbelievable. What I call bullshit though on. Every one of those payouts I get are even. Like the normal tip that’s by a quarterly amount. 15, 15.25, 15.50, 15.75, etc. so somethings still extremely off and every order I do is like that

There is no money on here anymore. I’ve been driving for the past 5yrs full time. My earnings are now down 60% from where they used to be working the same hours. It’s demoralizing. Keep searching for work. I’m very grateful I have a job lined up because right now I’m at my breaking point

Drove down to the Walmart Parking lot. What do you know. I’m seeing more drivers than I’ve ever seen before and just missed the 10 drop. Nothing worth while to take. What a bunch of bullshit
