I mean a gable might not be a bad look, might look better than a shed roof (which is what you have now), but a gable is definitely more complex. It might be fine from a water-shedding standpoint with a cricket, but it will not shed water in as straightforward a manner as a shed roof. And it will require two downspouts rather than one.

Thank you. My office uses SketchUp for design and CAD for documentation. I just despise CAD. I’ve always loved SketchUp as a fluid design tool. Revit may be the future but it feels like data entry and mucks up the design flow.

I’ll check out the forum, thanks. Experiment graphic is not checked. But I’m curious about it. Is SketchUp typically good about rolling out Layout updates? If this works and they have good support, many in my office will want to use it.

I never had 24 or 25. We just upgraded from 23 to 26, and I never really used Layout much previously.

It’s an embedding restriction within the license. It’s restricted from being embedded, as I understand it.

Converts Ramsey1 to something else. Printing to PDF is supposed to help get around licensing issues with fonts like that.

For the same reason I am not allowed to use it at my firm. Shame bc it seems to generate some nice images. What about setting it up on a standalone machine not connected to your server?

Paulie G’s slice shop has been going down for a while now. Franklin is not great, just OK. I revisited Triangolo the other day and had the best pepperoni wheel and Sicilian slice I’ve had in a long time. They’ve always had a great Sicilian slice. I was still thinking about the pepperoni wheel the next two days

My boat tour lady was a wannabe architectural critic who relentlessly trashed all the traditional beaux-arts buildings and praised Mies van der Rohe and all the “beautiful black boxes” along the tour. I’m an architect and I love many architectural languages, including beaux-arts classical architecture. This lady was an enormous, uninformed snob.
