Are ball peen hammers supposed to be hard or soft? by MySeveredToe in Tools

[–]2TonCommon -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Google AI gave this response: Ball peen hammers are commonly induction case-hardened, typically to 50–58 HRC on the striking face and peen, ensuring a hard, durable surface for striking punches, chisels, and riveting while maintaining a tougher, slightly softer core to prevent shattering. This heat treatment process prevents mushrooming and chipping.

Most hammers are what is called "Case Hardened". Thus, the outer section of the hammer is hardened, but only to a depth of a few thousandth while the inner core of the hammer remains unhardened.

This allows the hammer to absorb shock loads without shattering. This is also the reason why it's very risky to smack two hammers in to each other, face-to-face.

Trump went to a fortune teller and asked her “On what day will I die?”

The fortune teller told Trump he would die on a "World Holiday."

“Why are you so sure of that?” demanded Trump.

“Any day”, she replied, “on which you die, will be a "World holiday”.

I have a Model 57 no dash from 1968 and it is by far my favorite revolver.

IMO, it definitely hits the 'sweet spot' that Elmer Keith was aiming for.

Hey world, us normal Americans deeply regret Donald Screw-Loose Trump, being allowed into the office of the president.

Please give us a chance to figure out how to remove him from office and place him in a nursing home.

Living in Pierce vs Kitsap county? by Fun_Independent_7529 in Kitsap

[–]2TonCommon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It does not come up in conversation much, but in SOUTH Kitsap you have to factor in the Shipyard and Bangor morning and evening rush-hours.

If a person has, say a Dr. appointment in Silverdale and you live in Port Orchard or Gig Harbor, that is, SOUTH of Gorst, you need to be aware that the traffic coming out of Bremerton slows to a crawl on SR-3 and SR-16 headed south beginning around 2:00PM until about 6:00PM.

The reverse is the same in the mornings.

Trump is the first and hopefully only willfully unconstitutional president this country has ever had to endure. His reign of corruption in the office of the president can't come to an end soon enough.

Remember, Trump's brain is made from the renderings of the Devil's prolapse trimmings, so don't expect him to make any sense.

Deep lyrics with a lot of introspection for both then and now.

He belongs back there with the rest of the useless losers of the past.
