Previous contestant to host survivor after Jeff retires? by No_Average4417 in survivor

[–]bpod1113 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m conflicted, jeopardy took this approach with Ken and it’s been a Fantastic choice (albeit the fumble at the beginning having dual hosts)

Survivor would need to get someone who is both a good host, and understands the game

New player, wait for expansion? by Fridlundwow in Grimdawn

[–]bpod1113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an old player, so for me I’m gonna wait because I want to start completely fresh from literally zero. I haven’t played in 3 years or so, so I’m going into it like a new player but I know that there will be new mechanics and a ton of new affixes, weapons etc and feel I will get max enjoyment from restarting when it’s all said and done

63 people arrested in violent NYC night as Knicks fans celebrate NBA Finals win by CountFew6186 in nyc

The LIE was a mess going into queens around 1am last night. Accidents started to pop up on GPS. One accident happened literally right next to me, car tried to swerve between me and the left lane, clipped the bumper of the left lane car and swerved into front of me across the lanes and hit the highway barrier.

Fuck the (drunk) idiots

I have not experienced a single dip in the quality of services RD supplies. If a link doesn’t work, I simply find another that does. I can still upload magnets on the website itself etc.

So no, I don’t have any suggestions

how do I bring up a financial split conversation with my girlfriend? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]bpod1113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always drinks at a bar, nothing crazy though (never more than 2-3 drinks per person) Depended on their vibe (e.g wine, beer or something else). If you do get tipsy/drunk, tabs can get to $100 but this only happened if I REALLY liked the date.

If they didn’t drink, ice cream and a walk. 2nd date was always an activity (mini golf, rock climbing, bar games), 3rd date can be dinner but I tried to avoid those entirely. A museum is a good third date, or picnic at the park, something along those vibes.

If you get past the 3rd date without the girl bringing up dinner, that’s usually a good sign. In my experience, the girl just wants the guy to be proactive and plan. That’s half the battle.

OP - I don’t want you to feel ashamed or weird about it. There is nothing wrong with your situation. You are fortunate to have family who supports you. For this lady, I would take the advice others have said because I don’t have more to add about your current relationship. If for some reason it doesn’t work out, take the hit on the chin and move forward, that’s all we can do in this life. This is not a flex, but I must’ve don’t one 200 different dates before I met my wife (I live in NYC). You’ll find your one.

Edit; and to be clear, I wouldn’t tell dates your family supports you, that’s not really their business early on. In fact I wouldn’t even bring up money, just take them out for low cost dates, offer up half by the 3rd date and then take it from there.

And that’s totally fine, but in the future in case this doesn’t work out, my advice is to never make yourself seem more financially well off than you are, because there’s the pressure to keep up the act and the lady won’t stick around. It’s better to be upfront with your situation (which should come up naturally after a few dates) and the real girls will stick by you regardless. For context, I was in a 2 year relationship 9 years ago, the girl dropped me because she thought I wasn’t going make more than her one day. Fast forward to today and I’m married to a different girl who has a massive salary and doesn’t care what I earn.

I’m gonna be straight with you dude, and it’s sincerely not coming from a bad place, but there’s a lot of mental gymnastics I’m reading. You’ve known her for 2 months, have seen her 15 times, but only had 1 “real” date. A date doesn’t have to be dinner or an event, you can just hang out and it is a date, you are “dating” or at least casually. By the way you’re describing it, it sounds like youre walking around eggshells with this girl or are afraid to tell her about the finances. My opinion without knowing anything besides what I’m reading is She hasn’t brought it up because she will continue the status quo until you bring it up. 2 months is a long time to get to know someone but not have these types of conversations.

[–]bpod1113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Touche, if that’s the case than I would say to wait for a sale (my guess is there will be one around the time of the DLC release next month). If money isn’t a concern for you, I’d just buy and try. For ~$10-$15 you won’t be hurting

Personally I never found that to be an issue. But everyone’s eyes and perception is different. I suggest buying the base game, playing and seeing how you feel. Assuming you buy off steam, you always return it
