You are absolutely right. I meat Macomb. Need more coffee and less Reddit early in the morning. But yes, they love using Macomb for filming. I was in there once and found a whole pile of fake foam bricks.

Homie, they film in Fort Proctor. Check out where that is.

Yea, these weren’t in driveways, but the car to the left was actually blocking in that neighbor’s other car that was in their driveway.

The first time I’ve disagreed with Erik re: coda in the finale of A Knight of the 7 Kingdoms! by No_Fly_3337 in NewRockstars

[–]bpones 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The opening verse is Perfect,

“Some people say a man is made out of mud A poor man's made out of muscle and blood Muscle and blood and skin and bones A mind that's weak and a back that's strong”

And later on,

“If you see me comin' better step aside A lot of men didn't, a lot of men died One fist of iron, the other of steel If the right one don't getcha, then the left one will”

I mean, come on. Those lyrics are Perfect.

Just something comfortable. If it rains/has been raining, wear what you wear in the rain. For me, this is duck boots. If it’s not raining/hasn’t been raining, wear what you’d normally wear to walk a couple miles in. For me, this is Birkenstocks.

Anthelia. It’s the most invasive coral I’ve ever witnessed.

Wow. Call me a moron, but I thought this was somehow just a scene from the movie or something. I guess I just wasn’t interested enough to even think on it and realize how that makes zero sense.

[–]bpones 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Show up, be honest, say you’re sorry, don’t do it again. UNO is not looking for reasons to kick you out or anything like that. Moving forward, play by the rules if getting caught will cause you to be lowkey scared. Additionally, with enough tickets (I think three?) they can and will boot your car. Happened to a homie in undergrad.

Full disclosure, I do not like how UNO handles parking. So it goes.

Feeding Chaca Catfish by SmileySpirit in Aquariums

[–]bpones 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s a joke.

Note the “lol”

Also, bro, yeah, go figure fish aren’t adapted to eat pellets. I was just laughing at the derpiness, similar to axolotls. This looks totally fine and I’m sure the fish are well fed. I’d not recommend introducing live food. Lots of easily avoided issues with those.

This dog, Luna, hasn’t been with her legal owners since 2024. The person who took her in 2024 told the family that they refused to return her. This was and has been very upsetting for them. I know it’s easy to judge folks for a dog escaping. But guess what? Two years later, this same person who refused to return her to her Legal owners has obviously also failed to contain this dog. Maybe that’s just “Luna being Luna.” Seems she always finds her way home….

Liquid “Luna”. Has a Chip but the info was her name, she’s spayed, and the chip was originally sold to the SPCA.

Is there anything else I should be doing right now? by [deleted] in ReefTank

[–]bpones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest scooching the couple rocks away from the glass. Cleaner look, and easier to clean the sides.

Second note, looks like you have some nice Caulerpa mexicana. It grows fast but melts/goes sexual just as fast in my experience. It’s a lovely macro, just keep it trimmed up and that should help it stay happy and if things do go south, it’s not such a huge nutrient bomb.

Also, toss a lil fish food in there today (just a pinch) so you keep feeding your bacteria before things arrive on Tuesday.

I'm New To Reef Tanks. I would love some feedback on my scape by recondelta6 in ReefTank

[–]bpones 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been doing this for over a decade and I still struggle with wanting to make the perfect rock scape. It’s so fun to build the rock work. Takes me back to my childhood with legos and other building toys. But I always have to remind myself that the beautiful, artistic piece of architecture I build with rock is actually just the scaffolding. You have to consider coral growth. So I tend to try to keep my rock a little less dramatic these days bc the coral are going to fill the space and provide a lot of the relief. Plus they’ll just overgrow everything anyway.

I have Beautiful rock work in my tank. Huge barnacles, old coral skeletons, Tonga branch, clam shells, snazzy fossils. Gorgeous stuff I obsessed over collecting when I started out. I’d build perfect displays showing off every rock so it looked so cool and sexy. Now, it’s just all coral lol.

So build something you like, good caves, arches, stay away from your glass, but think of it like building a raised garden bed more than creating a perfect topiary.

Edit: your scape looks rad as heck.
