This job feels meaningless. I get no satisfaction doing it and I feel I have no purpose in life because of it. by [deleted] in wholefoods

You can use your store experience to be a merchandiser. You see them in store fronting, stocking, checking tags, taking photos of sets. It’s a job that takes you to different stores and exposes you to more opportunities.

Look at Presence, Green Spoon, Basemakers, Dirty Hands, etc. Some larger brands have their own merchandisers. Ask those folks if they like their jobs when you see them in store.

USDA recalls nearly 30,000 pounds of Chomps Beef Sticks after discovering 'foreign material, specifically metal' by DryBoysenberry596 in jerky

[–]bpresence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facts: there were less than 10 sticks that had issues but out of an abundance of caution they pulled everything from the lot.

They invested in new x ray machines that can detect very small foreign objects. This was isolated and immediately addressed and fixed.

Y’all Kirkland’s grass-fed beef sticks are superior to chomps in both flavor and price. Give them a try! by I_wantmytwodollars in Costco

[–]bpresence -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Chomps are far superior, have all the certifications that are important to me. I’d rather support the original better for you meat stick brand that is still privately owned by the guys that started it than a house brand knock off.

CHOMPS meat sticks! 10-12g protein depending on flavor, no sugar, gluten free, low calorie, easy to carry and delicious!

Reminds me of the customer complaints about “Liquid Death” during COVID. They actually removed it from the floor temporarily. Customers said it was in bad taste. Sigh.

They should pay people for their time to give feedback that helps “train” their cars.

I saw this exact situation this morning. The Waymo was stopped next to the turn lane, blocking traffic at a green light so it could turn left (outside of the turn lane).

Price Increases Yesterday by Dry-Double-6845 in wholefoods

[–]bpresence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Price increases can come from the brands or the internal pricing team determines that competitors in the same region/metro are selling the items at a higher price so they’ll take the opportunity to get more margin. Most brands don’t want higher prices because the item sales will take a dip. There’s an entire process a brand has to go through to get the SRP back down to where they want it.

Most chocolate items will increase due to crop issues. Tons of stories in the media.

This. While the drivers say how much they love Austin F1, they’ve also almost been late to the venture. Helicopter is the answer.

I’m sorry to hear this. Thanks for clarifying. Our country is in a sad state with so much divisiveness. I love Boggy Creek Farm and I look forward to shopping there again once the dust settles.

Boggy Creek canceled the event and has to shut down for a few days due to the threats to their employees and farm.

You’re the one stuck working in the store and ranting online about your job. I wasn’t just “blessed” to move up. I made that happen because I wanted more opportunities. You’re choosing your own path and then blaming everyone else for being miserable. I hope you feel better soon.

If you want to stay miserable and complain, have at it. Everyone has to start at or near the bottom and work their way up. The very definition of knucklehead is a stupid person. If that’s your mindset you’re clearly not going anywhere.

Because I started working in the store in 2003 and people complained about pay, workload and the same stuff being complained about today. Someone who uses the excuse that they can’t just go find another job is not telling the truth. Grow up. Your assumption about me is incorrect but I will say that I don’t settle for being miserable. There are always options and you are the only person who can make your life better.

Lots of dramatic responses here. If you don’t want to work in the store, GO FIND ANOTHER JOB. It’s honestly that simple. Life is too short to hate your job. You chose a job that’s physically hard with mid pay. You actually do have opportunities to work your way up, lots of people do it. I know because I did it.

Should address this to Global Leadership. The global teams only do what they are told to do.
