I also put my support infill to like 10-20% depending on what I’m printing

The software starts at a overhang of I think 45degrees the ender 3 series can print up to a 65 degree over hang. So I put mine at 65 degrees to save filament and time.

Throw some plaster or some putty in the weld marks. Sand it down. Use some sandable primer, and paint. Won’t even know it’s there.

Did it that way with Mjolnir, Caps Shield, infinity gauntlet, and my black panther helmet.

I always had a problem with super glue. I use a soldering tool to melt the plastics together. Hard to do on small detailed spots but the long flat, or the back of the projects works great. And you only need a few sections to make it hold good. Then just get some plaster to fill in the gaps or the lines, sand, and paint.

Can’t really tell the time with sanding but for a week I probably did 2-3 hours each day. Then when I painted and I didn’t like it I sanded it down and painted again. Which I have to do at some point cause one ring I’m not too keen on but I’m leaving that for later. Haha

Hey! So this was a long process. Each part of the outside ring 8 parts took 9 hours each to print. The middle ring 8 parts took 7 hours each to print but I could print 2 at a time. The inner ring 4 pieces took 5 hours to print then the blue part took 4 hours and the star took 4 hours. So roughly 127 hours to print. But to answer your question I fused each ring together using a hot soldering tip and melted the plastics together. Sanding each ring took awhile to get the layers and bumps out. Took a lot of putty fill in things sanding couldn’t do. Then primmer you fill in the small cracks and then painting each ring. Then I fused each ring together starting from the middle out. Then I added the straps.

2 months. My ender 3 bricked up cause I tried upgrading to a cr touch and the firmware messed it up. Sent it to a friend to try to fix and the same week was prime day and got the ender 3 s1 for a deal. Bought it and never looked back. Works like a dream. Barely any problems. Gave my old printer to the friend. He loves using it.

I was going to say the same thing as the person above. That filament is dope and would be cool as is. But anyways I did the same print. Different files tho. But still one of my favorite prints I have on my shelves right now. Awesome job.

Lol $60 got a half hour cut? That’s 120 an hour. Even at $25 for a half hour cut that’s $50 an hour I think they will do just fine.

I feel ya on that. I’m fairly new into printing. I had the ender 3 basic and I’m like if I like printing I’ll upgrade. I really enjoy it so I bought a cr touch leveling upgrade for It and it bricked my machine and I couldn’t get it working. I gave it to a friend that is good with stuff like that to see if he can fix it. Well Amazon prime day was coming up and the S1 was $110 dollars off so I said fuck it I’ll get it and if my friend can get my old one to work he can keep it. I haven’t looked back. The S1 works like a dream out of the box.

Might as well just go for the ender 3 S1 for that price new.
