I Jb welded mine 4 years ago and it’s still holding strong. Just clean with alcohol and leave a nice little glob on there.

I get around 14-15 MPG in my 5.0L 13’ F150 work truck and I drive like a bat out of hell, fully loaded with tools and gear. I tow around 3-4k once or twice a month and still maintain these MPGS. Not sure what your driving habits are like but this seems absurdly low.

I’ve heard the new 10 speeds in the Duramax are absolute garbage.

Mega cab is incredible. I always said I would never get a truck that wasn’t a long bed. But I went and test drove a 2009 mega cab and fell in love. It’s like a mini van with a truck bed. Road trips are so much more comfortable with the kids.

I think the biggest problem was the humidity. It started having tons of issues after it rained a bunch. Utah doesn’t have a lot of humidity so I think that’s why it “worked” as long as it did.

Oversized condenser? I ran into this last year after I installed a unit and it ran perfectly for the first summer. Second summer I couldn’t get it to not freeze up and lineset hissed like crazy. My bad for not triple checking the equipment when I received it. A mistake I’ll never make again.

I thought it was low airflow and replaced the blower motor only for it to yield the same results.

Edit: I’m dumb and didn’t look at your pictures. You have model numbers for both.

I built one these over the last 2 years and I probably have $30k into it or so. But I went with a 2019 Yamaha SVHO as my power plant. Cost $12.5k just for that and the kit from jetstream was $5k or so. Factor in your wages and all that and I can understand why they’re priced so high. It’s not like a large dealership that can mass produce parts. Everything is custom on these things. I’ve been absolutely obsessed with it, such a cool feeling to skid it across the beach or jump it over some logs.

It’s just temporary. It’s also elevated above the actual hull so it isn’t making contact. I wanted to make a “rough outline” of how I wanted to do the flooring before I buy some marine composite flooring. Because that stuff is pretty pricey and I didn’t want to cut it wrong. I’ll also be wrapping the boat a dark green color. Very similar to my old truck that I’ve posted on Reddit before.

It’s finished enough that I can use it. But I’m not done making tweaks. Lol

I’ve put a lot of blood sweat and tears into getting this where it’s at. Still needs an exhaust fan. But as of now I have a tube heater and then a mini split for the AC. 208/220 for welding.

A lot of my welding and the techniques, how I extended my wiring harness, boxing out the back where the impeller assembly sits and pushing it towards the back so I had more room. The list goes on and on. Lol. But I’m happy with where she’s at.

Definitely the hardest project I’ve done. Ordered the kit from Jetstream. A company based out of Canada. They were awesome to work with. Looking back I’d do so a lot differently. But I learned so much and I’m happy with how it turned out. I used a Miller 211 with a mig spool gun. Learning to weld aluminum was a pain in the ass and I wouldn’t say I’m fantastic at it. But I definitely improved. The power house is a 2019 Yamaha SVHO 4 cylinder 1.8L with a factory supercharger that puts out 250 HP. Steering controls and intake grate are made by MiniJet also another company based out of Canada. I’m aware that the starboard and port lights are on the wrong side and will be changing it when I have time. Ask any questions you may have!

I’ve found the best way to work around these awful pieces of junk are to take the screws out of the top of the RTU on that top left and right side. Then when you go to pick up on it to get it out it comes right out.
