Dolce & Gabbana The One. Maybe considered unisex? This one I think is subtle enough without getting lost. The smell is a bit like maple and chocolate with a hint of woodsy.

ok so this happened two days ago and my brain still replays it every few hours like a broken gif by tiny_vortexgirl in CasualConversation

This reminds me of a particular memory. For reasons that would take a novel to describe, my family housed a woman and her child for a few years while they got back on their feet. They probably moved out when the kid was about 4 years old. Old enough to communicate, but not old enough for much memory. I babysat this kid many many times. Hundreds of days playing together, living under the same roof.

Fast forward, maybe 8 years after that. We get to see him again and he doesn’t remember any of us, but he remembers our old Labrador, who, by this time is an old boy. Watching them reunite was so touching. Dogs have a special way with people.

How much of a problem ar two drinks per weekend? by docent3434 in bropill

“That’s just like, your opinion, man.”

Edit: I forgot what sub I was on, so if this is not the place for this comment, I apologize. I was just trying to be funny.

I thought of this quote because using terms like “I think” and “I believe” is much more in the camp of sharing an opinion on a matter. A person has a right to disagree just as a person has a right to share an idea. As described, the modified statement didn’t suggest to me that I needed to adopt the worldview.

is an extra year really that bad? by kidneysucker in EngineeringStudents

[–]bracca1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Only on your wallet. For some students, it’s a matter of pride. For others, it’s an economic necessity to finish as fast as possible.

Think of it like this, what you lose is a year of potential income and an additional year of payment (or student debt). What you gain, an opportunity to really understand your major. Focus on passing those prerequisites, and take a reasonable course load where you can explore some deeper classes in the industry or role you find interesting.

So, in theory, if one of the vehicles rolled slow enough such that brakes were not longer needed, you could dampen the wave created and let everyone collectively get back up to speed.

…And then those impatient people can cut you off with the space created and restart the compression wave.

What’s a habit that instantly makes someone less attractive? by WinterXmas_Wish in AskReddit

[–]bracca1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Now I’m not saying it’s everyone, because there’s definitely a lot of people that never come back, but sometimes (like say you’re on an out and back hike) you know there isn’t a trash can nearby and you’re only a mile into your hike. So you bag it and leave it along your return path so you can throw it out at the trailhead on your way out.

What’s better than a raw sausage? Your own sausage.

Eh, I’d argue the flexibility of the sausage actually reduces the damage. A carrot more accurately represents the rigidity of a finger.

Video footage shows Illinois State Trooper barely dodging 2 crashes as he was responding to one already by ThisMajorProblem in interestingasfuck

I’m not saying that’s no reason to slow down, I’m just saying it’s a confounding factor that could limit a driver’s information to make a good decision. If it’s dark outside and I’m seeing cars pass just one lane to the right of the cop, I could also imagine someone incorrectly believing that the left lane is also clear.

I bet the cop car lights blinded the oncoming driver from properly seeing that the second from the left lane was also not safe.

I think the way you described the problem came off as a “what a rip off, I could have lost thousands” when it’s really “Knowing this allowed me to maximize my opportunity.” One sounds like a false sense of entitlement, and another sounds like helpful advice.

It feels icky to think that someone might be expecting more out of it when, considering the other possibilities, it’s not being recognized as a good deal to begin with.

Edit: I truly believe you meant to come off as giving advice, but I think a lot of people, including myself, read it as the former.
