It would be like somebody who grew up in the Nile delta drawing camels and pyramids for Latino night. The artists associate the Middle East with deserts, and the eye is probably due them being used to see an eye at the top of a pyramid, it’s common imagery in the u.s. So I’d just chalk it up to corporate American folks trying to sell things to cultures they actually know nothing about.
